  1. Damn those are hot shots! Thank you for finding/posting them. GM is making a HUGE mistake not bringing this over in diesel form...... Even if they only did it in limited numbers, there'd be a waiting list for them!
  2. Looks like you and I have something in common after all!
  3. from what I hear, Midland Mortgage is TERRIBLE.
  4. Ask Subaru how their Legacy Outback with the rear roof chopped off worked out for them...... .... actually, it wasn't a bad vehicle... it was just much too expensive.
  5. ?? Plumbbomb was in the kiloton range. Castle Bravo was 48 megatons.... I still win! But just for good measure.... Tzar Bomba: Largest nuclear device ever exploded.
  6. Republican machers Walter and Leonora Annenberg gave the former terrorist $50 million. They also gave money to Rick Santorum, Strom Thurmond and Mitt Romney. Annenberg was Nixon's ambassador to Britain. If Obama is "palling around with terrorists," the Republican Annenbergs are funding them. Yesterday, the McCain campain put out a press release boasting that Leonore Annenberg had just endorsed him for president. Why is McCain happy to accept the endorsement of a funder of terrorism?
  7. So there I am hanging out on the Quad during break in my raincoat, Prada of course, looking for fresh recruits. I spot the campus jock walking across the field. I saunter up to him and say "Why don't you be gay? You get lots of sex, but your family will disown you, your teammates will beat you up, landlords won't rent to you, and bosses will fire you" To which he replies, "WHERE DO I SIGN UP!!?!" I tell him, "First you need to get out of those old stonewashed jeans an into something more form fitting so that it shows off your package better and meet me at the Starbucks across from the gay bar to prepare for initiation... oh.. and bring pomade.... we'll have plenty of lube." I radio the GAY AGENDA for this evening back to Homo headquarters in San Fran for approval..... and include pics. New Homo-jock shows up at the Starbucks at 9pm..... I stroll in around 9:20, fashionably late of course, and order myself a grande, spiced pumpkin latte, soy milk, no whip, with a shot of vanilla. New Homo-jock, looking a bit nervous, glances around to see if anyone is watching. "I'm not so sure about this.", he whispers. "Oh HUSH!", I say, "With that hair, that ass, and those cheekbones, you were just born to be gay!" "But I don't even like Cher!" he whines. "That's ok sweetheart, you have plenty of divas to choose from. There's Madonna, Celine, Babs, Judy, Liza..." The rest of the initiation gang shows up... unfashionably late (rolls eyes dramatically)... and after putting in orders that make the Starbucks baristta want to gouge his eyes out with yesterdays petite vanilla scones... begin their assessment. Pomade is applied generously. Ike offers new homo-jock some tina (god that joke never gets old!) but I wave him away. "Girls!" I shout, (not a female in the entire store), "It's time to take him over to Babylon. First one to get him into bed is the winner! First to get him to dance on the catwalk with his shirt off covered in body glitter is 1st runner up!" and so the night of initiation for a new member of the most fabulous clique in the world begins.....
  8. What about the financing of your inventory? Capital One just yanked dealer inventory financing in NJ and NY.
  9. I can.... but it's a developed skill. ;-)
  10. Fallacy of assumption. You assume that homosexuality is something that needs to be cured. This is incorrect, thus the rest of your argument falls apart. Any person with a brain would notice that homosexuality occurs in all societies across the entire time line and in many many many species. It is a variant just like left handedness and red hair. To say that homosexuality doesn't occur naturally is to ignore the data. Homosexuality harms no one. Not the practitioners and not the people surrounding them. Thus there is no problem to address, no disease to cure. Please don't go down the "if everyone was gay" slippery slope.... I'm tired of that argument even though I win it every. single. time.
  11. Because it's quite well known in the gay community that he's one of us.
  12. Please fact check that first, much of it is parsing of words
  13. True. I believe Franklin said it best..... "Those who would trade freedom for security deserve neither freedom nor security" Look at how much of our freedoms have been lost. Owning a gun is not a freedom..... there will always be someone else out there with a bigger, or more weapons than you.
  14. I think you're all wrong. I think that those men in particular were much more in tune with the idea of moderation. In fact, I think a good many of them would be horrified at what that amendment was being used for today.
  15. Here's my reasoning for thinking clogged cat. Check Engine lights are almost always emissions related. You say it's been on for a while which could mean a problem with the system that has been causing the Cat to slowly die rough idle and only being able to maintain power while keeping your foot on it... It's likely that if it is the Cat you'll need a new O2 sensor and possibly an EGR. I had a clogged cat on my Cutlass and it blew the EGR valve clear off the top of the engine.
  16. Apparently, the Republican governor of Florida is giving up on McCain there.... he has stopped campaigning for McCain for the duration of the election.
  17. Ok... good... cause you know this pic of McCain at an ACORN meeting surfaced today....... just sayin. He'd rather win the election than maintain his integrity.
  18. The needs of the citizens of this country have changed substantially since the 1790s. Edit: I want to be clear that I'm not in favor of gun control... but the 2nd amendment was written when it took a minute to load a gun. Do you think the founding fathers really envisioned fully automatic rifles that could explode concrete?
  19. No G8 ST?
  20. You can get a $750,000 line of credit to buy a bunch of Cobalts to sell? This is a crisis of confidence. Banks have to be confident that they'll get their money back when they lend it out. What the government is doing is co-signing on these loans. It doesn't require any initial outlay of money by the government at all. Allowing it to just continue to crash is about the worse possible option.
  21. You're not following. The problem we are in isn't lack of money. Repeat that 5 times out loud before continuing. Our problem is lack of credit. There are healthy banks and unhealthy banks. Healthy banks have the capital the lend but aren't lending because they're afraid they won't get their money back. Unhealthy banks can't lend to anyone. In order for businesses to buy materials and inventory they are given credit lines by the banks. When the banks aren't lending, businesses aren't buying and aren't making payroll. Capital One just cut off dealer inventory financing for auto dealers in NY and NJ. So, repeat 5 times out loud. This is not a tax issue. This is not a tax issue. This is not a tax issue. This is absolutely, positively, not a tax issue. Please be more than a one trick pony. Lowering taxes does NOT solve every problem. We need government intervention to get these banks to loan money again. This is EXACTLY what exacerbated the Great Depression.
  22. I'm just curious Balthy.... if McCain were involved with ACORN, would you heap the same scorn on him for it?
