  1. As a current platform, I'm not a fan of W-bodies. As a former owner of a Cutlass Supreme Convertible, I can appreciate the cars for what they were when they were built. In the case of the Cutlass Convert.... it was the largest, most powerful, most usable every day convertible in it's day. When the top was up, the trunk space rivaled that of some modern sedans. It could seat 4 very comfortably. With the DOHC 3.4, it could eat the V6 mustangs of the day and keep up with the V8s.
  2. Oh... and in the spirit of this thread.... Was Holden your former gay lover when you lived over seas?
  3. I think Pontiac-Custom-S doesn't have issues with the engineering of the Holdens themselves.... just with the people who are doing the engineering.
  4. It's a loophole around the stupid CAFE laws. Besides, the sales of an imported car built by GM still helps my GM stock.
  5. That part of the Wiki entry is wrong. There was a way to disable the cylinder deactivation, but I don't think it was a GM sponsored or condoned event.
  6. the service advisor is correct.
  7. X-type is AWD.
  8. admittedly it was physically too big to the engine bay, but that's what happens with DOHC. :AH-HA_wink:
  9. That's what happens when you don't change timing belts. It really was not a bad engine. I had a 1994 version of this car with the 3.4. Mine lasted at least as far as 160k miles before I traded it for the CTS.
  10. 1995 was the only year with the better interior.
  11. Oh I soooo would.
  12. am I violating forum rules when I say GWB makes Carter look effective, Ford look coordinated, and Nixon look open and honest?

  17. Wait... does china have XM radio?
  18. We'd be two years closer to E85 and 6-speed hybrid transmissions in all GM cars?
