you think that the bed bouncing around like that actually reduces Noise, Harshness, and Vibration? It's the suspension's job to absorb road imperfections, not the truck bed.

I"m interested in seeing how an Avalanche would have gone through the course since it's bed is not separate from the cab.

The Silvi had some control issues though. It's to be expected from a solid rear axle. Ford should be playing that Toyota vid over and over and over and over.......

I think the issue is more that the low end 300s should really be Plymouths instead.

What about my lawnmower which pollutes more on one gallon of gasoline than a Ford Focus does with 20? How about addressing that issue?

My first car was a 1985 Oldsmobile Toronado, purchased with 66k miles on it. It was stolen and totaled with ~160k miles on it. I'm considering getting rid of both my '04 CTS and '03 Avalanche and picking up another 1985 Toronado with low mileage. yes, you're crazy.

I warn anyone against these. While they may be attractive, they are prone to electrical trouble and are near impossible to get parts for.

I'm looking to be out of here by this time next year. Most likely between April and June 2008, definitely not prior to February. Koeln Germany looks like my most likely destination. I want to get rid of both the Avalanche and CTS to save myself the $900 a month in car payments. I think an old E-body with a 4x8 trailer will fill my needs as far as maintaining my rentals is concerned.

I have stated no opinion on which make is better. Again, my issue is with what is in the media. It's the snide comments from reviewers in regards to the domestics while those same reviewers white wash any import problems. There have been reviews in 2006 that still mention the Vega as if it's relevant!! It's the reviews where the BMW has major mechanical failures yet still wins the number one spot. It's the media's harping on GM's smooth and reliable 4-speed while making no mention of the "silent recall" Toyota and Honda have on their 6-speeds and 5-speeds respectively. It's the harping on pushrod V6s that arguably give you more bang for your buck than the imported 4-cylinders while also forgetting to mention the substantial sludge problem Toyota has been dealing with. Now... I'm not saying that GM hasn't had it's issues, but GM issues, even minor ones, end up being front page headline news while Toyonda issues are published in the back page of the classifieds where they offer "massage with release".

Camry with a 4-banger and 5-speed is better? The Aura XE is meant for those who would buy a CamCord 4-cylinder auto, NOT the V6. As such, it performs it's job just fine.
