Lexus News: Lexus Adds the ES To Their Japan Lineup
Drew Dowdell replied to William Maley's topic in Lexus
To me... this is another nail in the coffin of the GS. -
For both, it highly depends on which plant they come out of. VW's Chattanooga plant seems to do good work, every Passat I've driven has been very solid and well built. Their plant in Mexico, not as much.

They've been doing that for decades. The original Focus, the Contour, the final Cougar, even the current Fusion.

GM reported an income of $2.5 Billion for the third quarter of 2018 today with strong showings in North America, China, and GM Financial. Automotive operating cash flow was up by $1.3 billion to $2.5 billion. Overall earnings per share diluted was $1.75. In North America, margin is up to 10.2% driven mostly by sales of all-new full-size trucks and continued good sales of crossovers, China reported equity income of $0.5 billion, while GM Financial reported revenues of $0.5 billion. During the period, GM delivered nearly 700,000 vehicles in the US with average transaction prices of $36,000. In China, sales were up 10% year to date to nearly 836,000 vehicles. In China, Cadillac continues to do well, up 4% year over year and up 20% year to date. Bolt EV production is being increased by 20% to meet growing demand. I'll have to find and scan a prom photo of me, my girlfriend(!!), and my black '85 Toronado.

Glad that the overall feedback is positive. The prior theme was just the default theme that ships with the software.

Have you ever noticed it's almost always Japanese brands that are the ones driving without headlights on? Mostly Toyo/Lexus but some Nissans...

has there ever been a 10?

I'm split. On the GMC, I like the '19 better than the '18 though not by much. On the Chevy, I much prefer the '18 over the '19 as long as it is in Z71 trim with the body color fascia and lacking most of the chrome.
-
I'm back home now. I think 19 is the number of people shot, but only 8 or 9 dead.

We we're 3 blocks away from the shooting at a different synagogue. We're safe, still on lockdown at the moment.
-
Same thing for people who aren't as affluent.

I'll try to adjust the logo. It's one of those things that looks right on a computer and then squished on a phone or tablet.

I'm sure it's class leading over the GLA and X2. It's still too small for you.

No mention that I saw skimming the document

Me either. I thought they would run out of cash over the summer, but they seem to have just squeezed through to a profitable quarter. If they can maintain the momentum on the Model 3, they could actually make it.

The XT4 is a little vehicle inside.... cozy is the best word for it. It is not a family truckster.
