1. Had a couple of gems at the office today. "I will fart in your mouth"--thats actually a great way to get someone to quit being annoying "Is it just me or does that guy smell Amish?"
2. Another quote, this one from high school: "So do I just have to walk up to the White House and ask for an application for President?" That has since, amongst my friends from that era, become the standard way of over-simplifying things.
3. That reminds me of something I was going to p[ost in another thread....
4. I think the 650 is pretty good, but the M6 is amazing.
5. Has any GM in the last 30 years not had this problem. The 3rd and 4th gen Camaros had a high ride height, although not as high as the Mustang. Even the Corvette has suffered from it in the past. People my age (24) have seen GM sedans with plenty of room in the wheel wells for 22 inch tires with snow chains.
6. The A5 is amazing in pictures, I haven't seen it in person yet. It may even be better looking than the 6er.
7. Hey PCS (and anyone else in the area) my fiancee has been in Baltimore the last few days tending to a family issue, and is speaking very glowingly about her birthplace, as if she's trying to gauge my feelings about the area to see if I would be interested in moving there. I've spent a week in D.C. and a few days in Norfolk, but never been to Baltimore. So what I need are some good (negative) talking points about the area, so I can squish her dreams, at least for the moment.
8. Eventually. You forgot to add the most important word. Eventually.
9. Linkypoo I'll give a quick rundown: Top 5 affordable small cars Honda Civic Honda Fit Honda Civic Hybrid (why isn't this rolled in with the Civic?) Mazda Mazda3 Scion xB Bottom 3 affordable small cars Chevy Aveo Suzuki Reno Suzuki Forenza I cant really disagree, I just had to double check to make sure the two Suzukis were still on the market. And yes, the article does point out that the 3 worst inexpensive cars on the market are from a GM subsidiary. OH TEH BIAS!!! U.S. News made GM produce substandard compact cars!!!!!

RC Cars

Funny you mention Nikko, since I just bought one of their 1:10 Nissan Skylines, right now I'm waiting for the battery to charge.
11. I'm with Walt, it appears more Delta size than Epsilon size. Could just be the photography.
12. Anywhere else in the country, I would be suspicious of the low price, lack of title and not knowing the year. But its in Arkansas, so the dude probably won it in a dog or cock fight. If this had been up 10 days ago, I would have felt obligated to drive down there (its about 100 miles) and take a good, hard look, but one old GM wagon is all I can handle right now.
13. Linkypoo I'll copy/paste: DERBY DEMO CAR 77/78 CHEVY MALIBU WAGON NO DENTS - $650 (Springdale, AR) 1977/78 Malibu wagon for sale. NO PAPERWORK AT THIS TIME but I think I could get it if needed. Ive owned this wagon 10 years or more and the 350 4bbl runs real good. Turbo 350 trans, deep tread on tires no dents, started and driven a few times a year. Still have time to prep for the Springdale Demolition Derby in August. I kept it just to have in the driveway at a house I own so it didnt look so empty. This wagon has alot of potential and hard to find. No e-mails, call me in Springdale at 479-445-8691 Sure, not having paperwork makes it a little tougher, but that thing looks like it has a ton of miles left in it. If someone were to offer me $1000 for the Buick today, I'd take it and drive to Springdale tomorrow to buy the Chevy. I hope it doesn't end up in a derby.
14. We've got dozens of other dumb threads, why not another? This thread is dedicated to those little quotes that make your day. Maybe someone says something so stupid, it makes you smile to think about it. Maybe its something so profound, or maybe its something so insanely funny that you think you're going to asphyxiate from laughing. Here is mine: "Why? I dont even like camping" --A girl I know after I told her she was getting a dutch oven for her birthday.
15. QUOTE(YellowJacket894 @ Aug 8 2008, 11:07 PM) With my mom also comes my condolences. Your condolences are whats all over my bed?
16. I went through an answered everything in the way a Camaro-only buyer would, and it came up with the Corvette and Mustang for my choices, absolutely nothing about a Camaro survey anywhere.
17. QUOTE(66Stang @ Aug 7 2008, 04:27 PM) B-J Syndrome.... QUOTE(YellowJacket894 @ Aug 8 2008, 10:17 PM) How I would love to have Satty's wit right now. Please, that ones even easier than your mom, its below me, just like your mom. Your mom.
18. QUOTE(Dodgefan @ Aug 8 2008, 10:14 PM) Well then I should be banned for being ulta gassy lately. Lactose intolerant?
19. 1 Mini Cooper was fleeted to the government. I want whatever job it is that allows the use of government fund to get a Mini. We should have a separate thread for these fleet numbers.
20. GM-Allison Hybrid Bus anyone?

RC Cars

I was out and about, and bought this for my son's birthday. That got me thinking about getting an RC car of my own. Maybe this 1:24 Chevy Wrangler (I laughed when I saw that on the website) or an FJ Cruiser/Hummer type off roader so I can play with it in the back yard. Toys R Us did have a couple cars that I'm interested in, one is a green Barracuda that looked pretty cool, the other is a Porsche 911 that is incredibly detailed, but $65 for something that I'm going to burn the motor out on then disassemble for fun seems like a waste. Wal-Mart did have a Hot Wheels BMW M6 on clearance, but I hate RC cars that only use AA batteries.
22. The A3, TT, A4 Cabriolet and base A6 are the only FWD Audis you can still buy. It seems a FWD A4 sedan/Avant would be a good way to lower the price and compete with the ES.
23. Even the one about my balls merging with a hooker's forehead?
24. Does the car ask, "What's up, Doc?" when you get in?
