  1. Mitsu should hire BM to revive them.
  2. Uhhh...., you mean the 16 inchers that are a tick narrower than the wheels on the Solara? I'd prefer alloys because they're easier to clean and just look better, but really the wheel covers look pretty good, not the embarassing hideous ones you see on a lot of cars. From a distance they really do look like 7 spoke alloys.I took delivery with 242.9 miles, now it has 331.5. And its freaking awesome.
  3. I tried it out on a Malibu I test drove, I believe you had to lock the car with the fob then hold the button. Press it again to shut the car off.
  4. The manual is extremely smooth, the whole drivetrain is great. It was a bitch finding one with a stick, the dealer closest to me had one (which I ended up buying) and all of the other dealerships in the region had none. My last two cars were red, I was hoping to get a color that doesn't show scratches/dirt as much, but the car looks great in this color. I had to run copies of the insurance cards up to the dealership (financed through Ford, they almost wouldn't let me drive the car off the lot after signing the paperwork because I didn't have full coverage on the Honda, which were the only insurance cards I had on me.) and while going up there I was caught in traffic, several times I noticed the people in the other lane looking at my car. Its sharp, and is a great drive. Now I just need to go find my digi and snap some pics, unlikely to happen before the sun goes down.
  5. I'm sure there is a Ford dealership there too.
  6. I didn't want a new car because I only wanted to finance for 36 months so I could get a new car in 3 years, which is why I started looking cheap, which lead to the MAXX and Regal. But the idea of a full warranty and something new was extremely appealing, and the Fusion is a great enough car in base form that I was willing to go to 60 months. They were offering $1000 in free gas but I took a $1000 rebate instead, ended up paying $16250 after that and my recent college grad rebate (tricks on them I dont graduate until December, HA! But really, they knew that).
  7. Isn't suspense a bitch? I bought a car today and I'm not going to tell you what it is. I'm kidding, its an '06 Ford Fusion S, I-4, stick, no options, Redfire Metallic or whatever the hell it is they call that color. Its schweet. Pics tomorrow. Link to pics
  8. Does it also rhyme with Crack Piper?

    What A Deal

Was that meant to iimply that you and Croc may both come with this Geo? That would be weird.
  10. Still waiting to hear back from him. On another note, I'll finally be financially able to get a new car because State Farm has finally (more than a month after I filed the claim) paid Chase. The woman from Total Loss that I talked to said they didn't need my Solara's title and that they would pay Chase on June 9th. Well as of last night they still hadn't paid, so I went into my agents office, told her what was up, she called the Total Loss unit and they said they never paid because they didn't have the title. D'oh! I spent part of my lunch break arguing with a Suzuki salesman about the availability of a AWD with the stick on the Aerio. He said I could get one that way, I said I couldn't. He was a jerk. No Aerio for me. Probably wouldn't have bought one anyways.
  11. Its not me, if thats what you're thinking. I have an idea.....
  12. .........and sold *ponders adding the XLR's convertible top to his new pimp STS*
  13. Well, maybe not depressing in the way that Puff the Magic Dragon is depressing, but what songs do you find the most comfort in when you're feeling down or just need something a little slower? Evanescence-My Immortal Elton John-Your Song Fleetwood Mac-Gypsy, Dreams Jack Johnson-Flake
  14. What about a black man laying on the ground next to the remains of a watermelon is amusing? Might as well throw some fried chicken in there and name him Sambo.
  15. I love the color, I'm going to call the salesman tomorrow to see what they can do about tires, some good Michelins would probably put the car in my garage. On another car search note, I went and test drove a couple of PT Cruisers, an '05 turbo and an '06 non-turbo. To be frank, they both sucked. The '06 had 9000 miles and none of the interior pieces fit right. The glove box door didn't close unless you wiggled it a bit, same with the center console. Whats sad is that the salesman was playing with these things when they wouldn't work yet he still tried selling me the car on being a great value and Chrysler's improved quality.
  16. Did I just smoke some bad reefer?
  17. Yeah, my first thought was "Wow, thats totally NOT racist"
  18. What would Jesus do if GM went under? --BM would say "I told you so" What would Brian Boitano do if GM went under? --He would kick an ass or two.
  19. Its a freaking sweet dark blue, 'twould be beautiful if it were clean. Alas, someone at the dealership decided that it hasn't deserved a bath in the last two weeks. I first noticed it while I was looking at MAXXs and didn't check into it further because I was hell bent on getting a MAXX and because of the black leather.
  20. I went yesterday and looked at a 2001 Regal. 56k miles, $11 grand, very nice car. I was ready to sign the paperwork and drive it home for the first few miles. Then I got on the highway and heard some hellacious road noise. I had the air on max and the radio on and the noise was still pretty loud. I turned the fan and radion off, the noise was still there, it wasn't engine noise and wasn't wind around the a-pillar, my best guess was either shoddy repairs after an accident or crappy tires. I go back to the dealership and mentioned it to the salesman (I drove it solo) and he ran an AutoCheck, which came back clean, so I figured the culprit was the cheap ass Firestone FR tires. He said he'd have it checked out and call me. Well he called me today, the guy from the service department who drove it said it was the tires and that they could be replaced before I signed anything. I really liked the car (where is Josh to call me a GM hater now?) but I have a few questions: 1-Have any other Regal or W-body owners experienced tire noise? It was very distincive, got worse when I sped up and got better as I slowed down. The car drove smooth and straight. 2-How are the big, puffy leather seats on long trips? They were really comfortable on my little 10 mile test drive but I'm used to having more support for cross-state drives. 3-Is the head gasket issue with the 3.8 something that pops up early?

    Meh...

My Junior year in high school I licked a flavored condom, it was on my ex's finger. It didn't taste great, lightly fruit-flavored latex. And yes BV, always use protection.
  22. He cant right now, he's hard at work selling Buicks to the Toyota humpers and other import afficianados of Flint, Mi.
  23. Our good friend Josh did, I believe he said we could take that to the bank, or something like that.
