  15. WOW! How shocking, a w-body getting the 5.3L V8! Must have taken a brilliant person with all sorts of GM connections to figure that was going to happen, since there were already 2 on the market.
  16. Whats wrong with it? The H3 weighs more than a tugboat onboard which is a bed on which Cameron Manhein is having sex with Abe Vigoda and Chris Berman.

    Car shopping

I barely drive 100 miles a week now, if you dont count the miles I'm driving to go to a bunch of dealerships looking at cars, so the gas isn't as big of a deal as it was. Dawn, on the other hand, has a bit more of a commute, and was going to go today to trade her Rodeo in on something more comfortable and efficient. As for me, I'm still leaning towards a Maxx, and slowly eliminating other options. Like today on my lunch hour (and a half) I test drove an Element, god those things have jacked up driving positions. Only problem with a Maxx us the lack of selection, I've found a lot of gold ones, but they've got the nasty tan interior with the wood.
  21. I'm going to convert a '67 Camaro to FWD, with a 1.8L Toyota 4cyl. Then I can have the white trash image AND the welfare-friendly gas consumption.
  22. Not just Toyota and Saturn drivers, but 90% of people who made it through hig school in 4 years dont like to burn rubber. Its just pointless, like golf on TV and Lifetime original movies. Sure a few people may be interested, but for the most part, its just retarded.

Update time: I drove a Malibu sedan, and it felt a lot like the Maxx, but the rearview mirror didn't seem as distored as in the Maxx. There was a weird squealing noise at 3500rpm under modest acceleration, I said something to the saleswoman, she said she would have it looked into. But I had a major shift in thinking yesterday. I'm actually considering an SUV of some sort. GMT-700 Escalades and GMT-800 Tahoes have dropped to the $14k price range I want to keep to, Explorers are dirt cheap and Escapes are pretty inexpensive as well. If I do go the (real) SUV route I think a 4.0L Grand Cherokee would be my best bet.
