  1. I'm going to call and offer $1 more than you.
  2. wiener
  3. A dude with a tanker full of water is slightly more legal.
  4. I went and got one of those quick-setup pools for the back yard, so sometime this weekend we'll have a pool for lounging around in. That is if I dont die for unilaterally buying a pool and paying out the ass to get it filled so it doesn't take 13 hours with my garden hose.
  5. We're having a cookout tonight, probably go out kayaking tomorrow. Its supposed to rain Sunday and Monday.
  6. Anyone else find it hilarious that the "GM as we know it" presented in the first posts of this thread are all from an era long gone? GM as we know it, and as we have known it for 20+ years has looked more like this:
  7. Wasn't there a dealership that once had a "Buy a Cadillac, get a Yugo free!" sale back in the 80's. BoGo is nothing new, but thats the dealer playing around with the factory cash back, not the parent company actually sending out a check every month. I've seen: Buy a Titan, get a free Sentra Buy a Ram, get a free Avenger Buy a Galant, get a free Raider

    I'm on a boat

Meh, I'm not an elitist who feels the need to operate in sections of the site only certain people can see.
  9. I'm going to go "polish my muffler" if you know what I mean. No, I have nothing useful to add.
  10. Depends, if the previous owners didn't maintain it properly, it will lead to expensive repairs. Thats the danger in buying used. Probably also why the seller was selling.
  11. Hyundai Monthly Cash Back Ok, so I've been hyper-critical of GM for consistently resorting to putting cash on the hood of just about every model, but Hyundai has finally topped them. Hyundai buyers can now opt to receive a monthly check (for 6 months) from the company in lieu of rebates. If you buy a Veracruz, your cut is $650/month, on a Sonata its $500, on the Accent and Elantra Touring (which I didn't even know existed) its $250. I have a feeling people will buy into this (just like they bought into Hyundai Assurance) but will probably end up regretting it. After six months, you'll still have to make payments on the sticker price (or close to it, depends on how desperate the dealer is) but dont have that supplemental income. But if you take the cash back up front, your monthly payment would be lower. In the long run, its dumb for buyers (just like Dodge's "$1.99 gas card promo) but it will probably bring people in. Thoughts?

This is, by far, the funniest thing I have ever read.
  13. Flat gray plastic grille?
  14. It shouldn't be too hard to remove, if its aftermarket, its likely just a box with a few wires. But if it was professionally installed (i.e. not done by the owner's 17yo son in the driveway) you shouldn't have any problems. My brother-in-law had remote start installed on his Silverado years ago, and never had a problem. My sister got it installed in her GP and it works fine too. Only thing to remember is that you still have to put the key in and turn it to get the car to move. I made that mistake once.
  15. I assume cost of steel. The stuff GM used (and presumably still uses) cannot come cheap.
  16. First-aid kits are optional on a lot of Japanese cars, not sure about domestics or Germans.

    I'm on a boat

Honestly, the only thing T-Pain has ever done that I've like is "I'm on a Boat" just because of that "I f@#ked a mermaid" line. I was on a Suntracker pontoon boat. It was a pretty nice ride, not what I'd want if I were going to buy a boat.
  18. I dont know wtf GM was using on their old full-framers, but the Buick is insanely solid for spending 20 winters in Missouri. Friggen stout.
  19. Isn't that what they used in that god-awful Knightrider remake?

Nope, humans rode on dinosaurs, thats what Jesus told me.
  21. YEAH! (Lil John reference) (And tastecicles is a Futurama reference)

  23. I've known people who bought cars with aftermarket stereo equipment installed, but the seller never bothered telling them the radio was hard wired to the battery, so if you park the car with the radio on it kills the battery. Yes, I know stupid people. But thats why amateur electrical work is something I'm not a huge fan of, people do dumb $h!. But driveline problems are a far larger concern. Hinge rust with no other rust seems a bit odd too.
  24. Of cars currently available, I could actually see a black CTS being a villain car.
  25. That alone would give me pause. Amateur+electricty=bad news. Otherwise it looks good, and thats a pretty sweet combo, 350/stick/4wd.
