His position is not strong enough to order anything, he is just urging the board to explore all options, including an alliance. What if they can make world class cars for a few billion less, per year? Is that not worth exploring? This is your pride speaking,not business common sense. How is making a company more profitable not caring about it long term?

900k F150s is their target, which they will probably not going to hit this year. 75K a month would take them where they want to be. Now, they are down 15% this month but the last August "Employe pricing" was in full swing.

76K F150s is terrible? If they could do that every month that would be 900K units a year.
