  1. Found this black 2010, I'm not sure about the red GS stripes though. If the dealer is willing to make a deal, might go try this. http://www.billjacobsjoliet.com/vehicle-details/2010-chevrolet-corvette-grandsport-joliet-il-id-837182
  2. Yeah, I dig the gunmetal a little more than the chrome too. I can always get some gunmetal later - not a deal killer.
  3. You are correct, there are some deals out there. Rick Conti has a Grand Sport in supersonic blue that I am little more excited about. http://www.ganleyaurora.com/new-inventory/1G1YR2DW3B5101339 There is also a cyber gray Grand Sport in New Hampsire. http://www.macmulkin.net/VehicleDetails/new-2011-Chevrolet-Corvette-Coupe_Grand_Sport_2LT-Nashua-NH/828514373 I'm not opposed to having the car shipped to me in Chicago, I've done it before. I'm more concerned about the mechanical options than the color, just not sure about this inferno orange. I will say that it looks a whole lot better in those daylight pictures that were posted.
  4. So I sold my black corvette this week, I decided I wanted a new Grand Sport Corvette. I know that I want it to be a Grand Sport with manual transmission and dual-mode exhasut, I'm open to most colors with the exception of yellow, and my wife ruled out white. I found one at a local dealership that has everything I want at a good price, but the color is inferno orange metallic. I guess I'm neutral to the color - what do you guys think? http://www.mikeandersonchevy.net/VehicleDetails/new-2011-Chevrolet-Corvette-Coupe_Grand_Sport_2LT-Merrillville-IN/1136196743
  5. the z06 could probably benefit from a upgraded clutch master cylinder - factory hydraulics are not the vette's best feature.
  6. Just makes me sick: Corvettes have been equipped with launch control for a few years I believe
  7. Good piece on USA Today on the Cruze getting it done: http://content.usatoday.com/communities/driveon/post/2011/07/junes-top-10-chevy-cruze-is-best-selling-car-in-usa-/1?csp=34
  8. It's interesting, but what's up with all the political diatribes? did we really need that global warming rant?
  9. It is cheaper for me to insure a '99 vette than a '99 Camaro Z28.
  10. For the pushrod hater crowd: I bet that just chaps your ass to see corvettes in the lead at Le Mans.
  11. Yeah, that's the trick - I was looking for a friend, as opposed to a service writer/rapist.
  12. Does anybody have connections or know someone that can look up the service history on an '02 Ford Explorer? I just bought this truck and the rear liftgate needs some attention. I have heard a rumor that there may be a relevant recall, but I'm not sure how to find out. I would like to be educated before I go into a dealership. I'm also curious about the maintenance history of the vehicle.
  13. Comments like this lead me to believe that you don't have a clue what you're talking about.
  14. Probably a moot point at this point, but worth sharing. RX-8 rotary engines make like no torque, it was so bad that Mazda had to give away free maintenance because the engines didn't make the power they were rated at. Just FYI.
  15. Good article, I have nothing further to add in regards to video advertising. GM's print media could use a little more of this:
  16. This Nuclear Reactor incident will set back nuclear power development (public opinoin at least) in this country 10-20 years. It's a damn shame.
  17. Camaro won this month.. Camaro: 6,245 vehicles Muustang: 3,697 vehicles Wow, all the ford guys were saying mustang would kick ass after they got the new 5.0
  18. only 281 Volts sold in February? I thought the goal was like 30,000 per year? (2,500 per month)
  19. Am I missing the thread on the new ZL1? Didn't see anything on the front page. I'm very curious what the price will be.
  20. Chrysler ad was definitely the best (and longest); I hope the car can live up to the commercial
  21. As I was watching that ad I was thinking they doors were going to open remotely. Remote start is not exactly what I would call "ahead of the curve" at this point
