  1. Definitely. I've adored the Astra ever since the concept version was unveiled. It's sleek, without looking like a Yaris or a Celica (meaning, it doesn't look overdesigned). I'll hopefully be looking for a new car around the time that the Astra hits the market, and I may be first in line for it:D
  2. Ah, thanks for that. I didn't see that thread when I scanned the forums. Unfortunately, though, it looks like I may be going in another direction in my car search.
  3. I'll be graduating from college soon. Hopefully, I'll be in the market for a new ride in the next few months. I'd love for it to be a Solstice, but I'd rather not pay an outrageous price for one. Have the prices on Solstices been reasonable in general, or have dealers been pricing far above the MSRP? The payments should be reasonable at the retail price, but I'd rather save some $$$ and go with an MX-5 if the dealers are giving significant mark-ups.
  4. I like it overall, BUT......from the A-pillar back, it could be anything from a Ford to a Honda. I was hoping it would be a little more distinctive and Euro. B for the exterior, A- for the interior.
  5. Exactly. I mean really, you're out in public with a car that people are itching to see. You're bound to get exposed, especially when everyone and their brother has a camera in their cellphone. I actually had that one spyshot of the Hyundai Sonata as my background for a week or two; I got a good laugh out of the guy sticking his head out the window to yell at the photographer. The fact that the car had already been unveiled made it even funnier.
  6. Ewww. That's one ugly front bumper treatment.
  7. It's the Yukon. You can tell by the way the last pillar sweeps forward.
  8. I believe the military requires everything they buy to be at least 60% American in origin; since Air Force One and Marine One are military aircraft, they have to follow that guideline. The new Marine One helicopters are actually a new version of the EH101 designated the US101; the new version is at least 60% U.S. in origin. I don't like Bush either, but he does fly around in (mostly) American-made metal.
  9. Man Magnet? Hmm....I guess I'll never look at a Solstice the same way after that kind of description:p
  10. Just for once, I wish GM could keep things under their hat for a while. Imagine how much good press they could have had if they had surprised everyone and announced this 2 months before it went on sale?
  11. I just don't get it. GM is making some of the best, most compelling products they've ever produced, and they just can't get the sales back on track without steep discounts.
