  1. The 12 hybrids that are coming can't come soon enough. I wish the Vue green line would have a better tranny then just a 4 speed automatic. Why can't they prepare a few thousand of the new 6 speeds and get them in the green line with the hybrid?
  2. If I was GM I wouldn't be too worried about the DCX LX cars. With fuel prices the way they are I think demand for the big 300 and Charger will drop off. GM's FWD V-6 cars like the new Impala are much more fuel efficient then them. Who the hell wants a Hemi nowadays?
  3. Toyota is be very aggresive in the market with deals, cheap leases and low financing. They try to portray that people are stampeding into their dealers and paying top price for all their models. They are doing a great job of it though.
  4. I think that has a lot to do with car people like us who know a new model is coming and who order one in April and May and get some of the first ones built. Last time I was at my dealer in June I asked a sales guy to give me a call when the first Impala arrived and it turned out they had a list of 4 or 5 people who had asked to be called when they new model arrived. They called me a few weeks back and I went over that night and 2 of the 3 they received had been sold, they were still there and I was able to check them out but they were sold that 1st day.
  5. Its pretty disappointing that GM Canada was not able to post an increase with employee pricing. With gas prices the way they are I expect consumers to continue to shift to more fuel efficient cars in Canada and when people think of small, fuel efficient quality cars they think imports. DCX has nothing to offer since the Neon is junk. Ford only has the Focus which has a questionable reputation. GM has more offerings but they also have the most to lose. September sales should be very interesting.
  6. With the events of this week they'd better have fuel economy as their #1 priority but they don't. This is just hype. If the current gas prices hold up for a few months and their is a real consumer shift towards fuel efficient vehicles Toyota and Honda are going to be the big winners. Toyota has many more Hybrids coming and Honda has a new Civic that gets even better economy than the current one. All GM has are redesigned gas guzzlers coming that get 10% better economy. Sad
  7. Any money that is donated will take weeks to work through the system. You make it sound like the red cross was sitting around broke not able to buy bottled water, waiting for people and big companies to donate. Looks like Toyota came through BIG TIME with 5 million. It makes GM's 400,000 donation look like chicken feed.
  8. GM has a tough road ahead after seeing these numbers. So much is down compared with last year and even YTD numbers on many models are down. Despite what the execs say Lacrosse still hasn't equaled Century/Regal #'s, LeSabre sales have evaporated and Lucerne isn't even available yet, G6 hasn't passed Grand Am, Impala is down 30K and MC is off 20K. With all the problems in the gulf coast and Gas prices rising like flood waters its going to be very, very tough to move SUV's and big trucks especially since a lot of people who wanted one got one in the last 3 months.
  9. I hope Honda hasn't broke the bank after deciding to lend out 20 generators and maintain them too at their own expense!!!. Ah they're probably hybrid generators too so it won't cost them that much!!!
  10. I would hope these will be a late 06 debut and not in 07 as the article says, thats just too long to wait.
  11. Get used to it. In about a year this thing will be everywhere in Canada.
  12. Just the new SAE testing results. The same engine can have different HP ratings in several models due to exhaust routing etc.
  13. I thought the same thing the first time I looked inside one. I have not sat in one yet. The hard plastic reminded me of the G6. Should of been better.
  14. That is a super nice colour combo. Too bad the SSR is so expensive it would be nice to see more of these machines around.
  15. Don't go getting us in trouble. I don't want to be without C&G again.
  16. What a strange interior. Notice how the outside mirriors are attached directly on the side of the doors where they used to be on old cars.
  17. I find it funny that the 3.3L V6 (the most powerful Camry engine at the moment) is now outpowered by the base engine in the Impala...and gets worse mileage to boot. Do you have the new HP numbers for the 3.3? It used to make 230 in the Camry/Sienna.
  18. Nice changes to the interior. Hope all models have nice new seats.
  19. Glad to be back! I was lost without C&G. I took this opportunity to change my user name from GMRULES to I hope GMRULES again since I think that is closer to the truth. B)
