I hope GMRULES again

Wood in a Pontiac is ugly and out of place. I've looked at dozens of G6s in the past year and never even saw one with the tan interior, they've all been ebony. But if you do get the two tone tan then you get stuck with the wood trim,dumb. I can't seem to like the coupe. It doesn't look like a pontiac. I don't think 2 door GA fans will like it because it looks too foreign and I don't think foreign owners will consider it cause its a Pontiac so I don't think the coupe will sell well but I could be wrong.

That would be cool if the Solstice won. I just hope the Fridgeline doesnèt win truck of the year, that's pathetic.

The V-6 can get 35 MPG on the highway no problem. I drove one to Florida and back last winter (4000 miles) and that was with 4 passengers and a full trunk, and mostly cruising at 80 MPH. The transmission was perfect, the motor more than powerful enough if a bit rough in the high RPM range, and nobody ever complained the seats were uncomfortable.

I'd say your right about that. GM doesn't even advertise the Maxx as well as they should. It is a fantastic alternative to an SUV but I don't think too many people even know about it. The only ones I ever see are rentals. The Maxx won another award this week ( Total Value Study) and the 2 cars have an impressive list of awards the past few years. GM just has to talk about them more, especially the fuel economy.

Went by a dealer today and saw a Solstice for the first time in person (not counting car shows) and the car is just incredible. You can look at pictures of any car on the net or in magizines but not until you see it in person can you really get a feel for it. The Solstice just looked so amazing sitting there next to all these other generic cars. Too bad Pontiac couldn't build a 100k of these cause they could easily sell every one of them. A great car at a fantasic price. <_<

I see a lot of the Escalade in it. Nice but does not really stand out.

Because I don't think these models can make up for the huge drop off in trucks that we will comtinue to see. Let's see GM post improved sales month over month for about six months and then we can't mention the words GM and Momentum in the same sentence.

Now even the Altima is beating all of GMs mid size sedans.

FOG, I'm surprised your so optimistic after seeing this dismal sales report?

What a terrible month for GM. More proof that the employee discount did nothing but pull ahead buyers that were mainly GM customers already, seeing as GM sales tanked and Honda and Toyota posted record sales again. Sad.

If GM management have real brains they might realize one of these days that if you want to have a future you have to have fuel efficient vehicles, and a 2006 Tahoe that gets 20 MPG instead of 18 is not a fuel efficient vehicle. Toyota and Honda established themselves in North America this way.

I'm not American but it really amazes me the when I look at the road the country is going down. Now don't take this the wrong way but your always waving your flag and preaching about how great the good old U.S.A. is yet your selling out your own country!!! Why is it that so many people and the Media can't root for the home team? I mean if you came up with a top ten list of American icons I think Chevy and Ford would make the list yet so many people want to see them both destroyed.I just don't get it.

I just hope they don't change the Grand Prix name in 08 for G8 like I've been hearing.

Squeezing an 8 into the Impala and GXP was a stretch so how the hell do you get one into a Solstice?

Yeh I thought they looked like hubcaps, the Maxx used to come standard with aluminum wheels.

Those employees will continue to get two, 10-minute breaks and 25 minutes for lunch" It sounds like the company is being a bit ridiculous on this topic. Two 10 minute breaks isn't very much, I work with slackers that go for a smoke 4-5 times a day and each time they're gone for 15 minutes. Eight minutes is hardly enough time to go for a dump. :lol: Maybe Toyota workers are not allowed to dump at work and GM wants to stay competitive with them. :lol:

Thanks for all the posts and pics. I like the new cleaned up interior and front end but I don't like the new wheels but they might have to grow on me. We don't have any north of the border yet. I think GM is busy restocking dealers in the U.S. because of the employee pricing sales. Went by my Pontiac dealer also last week and they only had about 40 cars on the lot instead of the usual 80+, I've never seen so few cars there. Its still a lot better than my local DCX dealer, they went out of business last week.

If you like the blue one go to the photo gallery of the G6 and set the blue 4 door as your background and you'll see how amazing it looks.

That plant used to build mid size cars with a capacity to build around 200k a year. They won't come anywhere near that with KAPPA,maybe 60k-80k a year.

Has anybody seen or does anyobe have any new pics of the 2006 Malibu. I'd like to see more shots of the front end and the new wheels. My dealer has none and the web site has had the same ones up for a month now.

2008 Ion to be renamed what?????????
