  1. :( THE LACROSSE DOES NOT HAVE HARD PLASTIC DOOR PANELS!!! I don't want to hear anybody say that again! I rented a LaCrosse and put 1,500 miles on it. I felt and examined every part of the interior....I'm very, very picky. I've owned nothing but GM and have been in many other GM cars. I can tell you, without any doubt, that the LaCrosse interior is one of the best GM has ever made...if not the best period. And yes, I personally think it's light years above ANY Olds, Buick, or Cadillac made prior to it.
  2. I had to laugh when I saw that Avalon commercial. The Park Avenue had rain-sensing wipers since 1997, but Toyota is advertising it like they just invented it. I hate Toyota because all they do is steal ideas and designs.
  3. 1936 Buick McLaughlin(limited limo). Built for King Edward VIII?????
  4. Actually, suicide doors can be found on Buicks as early as 1920. Perhaps earlier? Not sure.
  5. I wonder how many LaCrosse owners are going to trade in for a Lucerne. I hope to buy a used LaCrosse next summer or fall. Unfortunatly it seems that all used LaCrosse's right now are rental CXL's without steering wheel radio controls  . Hopefully some fully loaded LaCrosse CXL's will be traded for the Lucerne.
  6. No complaints about the 4-speed? I really wish Buick would show this car equipped with the wood steering wheel...it conveys class. I also think they should put a "V-8" emblem on the trunk lid.
  7. I'm not interested in anything but Buick either. Caddy is nice, but too flashy and too expensive. I've been driving a Pontiac for the past nine years now, but they just don't seem to get me excited anymore. I'm really looking forward to getting a Buick again. It would be nice to have something more refined than the typical shoddy built Pontiac. They're good, reliable cars, but both have started to rattle like all hell once they had about 10 miles on them...seriously.
  8. I just looked at a gold-flake tri-stage white CXS last Sunday...the color is stunning! The car was, IMO, the best looking sedan in GM's lineup. With 20% window tint it would be a VERY classy looking car in an understated way. This car WILL be a success. :AH-HA_wink:
  9. The truth about this fraudulent administration is just beginning to be exposed. When the truth does come out, you people are going to feel/look REALLY stupid. The reason why GM is failing is because it's run by greedy and stupid Republicans. Gee, kinda sounds like our country right now! For the love of God...GET THOSE STUPID F*#@%*N REPUKES OUT OF WASHINGTON!
  10. If I ever buy one of these, I would have the seats upholstered in the same blue. I think that would really give it a more "blue" feel to it. I would also have the center armrest covered in blue leather. Perhaps the seats would look sharp in blue with shale piping and blue "Lucerne" insignias stiched into the top part of the seats. Kinda reminds me of my old Regal Somerset.
  11. Didn't GM just buy the rights to a new technology that allows the passenger to see one thing on the screen while the driver sees something totally different? Perhaps that's what they're working on.
  12. I'm 29 and there is a Lucerne in my future for sure. The only thing that really bothers me is that the rear seat doesn't fold down....something that has been irksome during the six years I've had my GTP. Perhaps a Lacrosse Super?
  13. Agreed. But, if you remember when McCain ran in '00, the republican smear machine horribly smeared him. That's the only way the republicans can ever win, and they'll do it to their own. They wanted Bush in there no matter what the cost. They've been planning the Iraq invasion for a long, long, time....Bush was a piece of the puzzle.
  14. I'm begging you guys to look into General Wes Clark at www.securingamerica.com. This guy is a freakin' genius....seriously. He has been serving our country his ENTIRE life because that's what he believes in. He was first in his class at West Point and was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford. He is a Democrat, but he did vote for Reagan and Bush Sr.....so he's not a far lefty. And what I really like is that he did not grow up in a wealthy family. I feel that's so important since most politicians are so freakin' rich they never have known what it's like to be in our shoes. His father was also into politics, but he died when Wes was only four...his father nominated FDR at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in 1932! I very, very strongly feel that Clark could clean up this mess overseas...he certainly has the experience. And, please no more senators for president...it hasn't worked since JFK.
  15. Oh, God. Sorry but you lost credibility when you voted for that evil, moronic jerk called George W Bush. And Hilary vs Condi?----PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!! What you Bushies don't realize is that the Dems don't want Hilary....but that's not what the right-wing media will have you believing.
  16. :) A very good day in America indeed! :) Now we need to win the senate and the house of congress in '06 so we can impeach that bastard. :AH-HA_wink: Want a REAL president? Vote for General Wes Clark in '08. Visit WesPac at www.securingamerica.com.
  17. What interior parts are blue with the blue/shale combo?
  18. Why is it that so many people here think that every new GM car should be designed around THEIR tastes? Just because you don't like it doesn't give you the right to mouth off your stupid opinions.
  19. So Buick now exceeds our expectations? I didn't know I was hoping for a 4cylinder and a 3-speed auto in the new Lucerne. Are there any smart people left in this world that are willing to join GM?
  20. Actually, I think it was axed more so because GM wanted the Reatta's plant to produce the Impact electric car. The Reatta was hand built at the Lansing Craft Center(I think that was the name!).
  21. Who thinks it'll have Velite-style headlamps? I hope they do away with the round crap.
  22. These are your opinions...I happen to think it looks just fine. B)
