  1. Quebec???? waits for the inevitable fallout I'm joking here, sort of.
  2. You know, that Kia might not be bad if you go out drinking. You could throw up all over it and no one could tell. Of course that Metro might make you throw up all by itself.
  3. Nice detail work, it looks beautiful.

    The Final Act

Oh, and I definately object to you calling Rick Wagoner 'evil incarnate'. According to my wife and kids, that's me. At best he's evil light, half the calories, not evil enough. And since we are calling a spade, a spade; can we call a club, a club and possible hit you over the head with it to knock some sense back into that skull of yours. You have completely lost it. Sorry everyone but I finally think he went too far and had enough.
  5. After checking with my agent I expect to pay about $70 per month or $840 per year for a new Z/28 when they arrive. I'm not sure what this guy's beef is but I think he is far out there that he probably thinks the best Mustang was the 74 Cobra II.
  6. Have a great one loki.

    The Final Act

Wait a minute. Did you mean this was YOUR final act and now we can drop the curtain on your melodrama? Whew
  8. Well, considering the wing cracks that developed after the A models were stretched to make the B model and that their airframe was getting very tired, it was time to retire them. There are still a few C141 C models flying around. The C17 works well in the C141s place.
  9. I had an idiot sit on the hood of my 95 Z/28 during a car show a couple of years ago. My wife noticed the woman and proceeded over and told her to move her fat butt (OK, Tammy wasn't that polite). The woman got indignant and started to mouth off whereas Tammy ripped into her about respecting other people's stuff and asked if she wanted to replace the aftermarket hood. I found out later that this woman complained to another show participant and wanted to talk to the club president. The reply, "Well, you just sat on his car."

    The Final Act

Well with this thread Buickman has moved completely into the realm of the absurd. Either he is so far out of touch with reality that he should consider an asylum or he has decided to quit selling cars and now sells snake oil. I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt but you've left no room for that. Do us all a favor and get lost. Krinkle-excellent post
  11. We had a 2000 Grand Prix GTP and the tires it came with were really noisy. I don't remember what kind they were. Well, we swapped them out and the car was very quiet after that. I can't believe this, I just found our car back at the dealer we traded it in at. 2000 GTP It still has the wheels it had before.
  12. It is an awesome show. A full week of cruising, shows, and events. trinacriabob-If you think its too loud, head on over during the middle of the week. The crowds aren't as bad, the cruises are still great (lots of great cars and trucks to see), and there is plenty to do. If you do go, watch for the car in my avatar.
  13. Sounds great. Good luck with the new job.

    What A Deal

Expensive Metro Ummm, I didn't know they were worth this much???
  15. Oh my God!!!!!!! Some people should just be shot.
  16. If the planes engines are not running then it will move with the treadmill.
  17. OK, its cool. Although I would love to do the power run at edge of the treadmill. The other night I really got to play. I was doing acceleration checks on the engines. Let them stabilize and snap them to the wall as fast as you can. Plance was loud and bouncing. Oh and this was at 4 AM. Making noise and waking the neighbors.
  18. Hot August Nights (and my vacation) is just over a month away and I for one can't wait. This year they raised the limit from 5000 to 5500 cars in the show and there are always thousands more that show up. Tammy and I will be heading south on July 30th with a bunch of other PNWCC members. So far we have 67, 68, & 69 Camaros, a 71 Chevelle, a 72 Skylark and who knows what else cruising down. We should have a couple of old Vettes as well in the convoy. Is anyone else planning on heading to Reno for this?
  19. This last weekend was my reserves UTA and while I had a nice dayshift schedule on a beautiful day I used my lunch break to take some pictures at a park on McChord AFB by a old C141B. 72 Skylark Custom Convertible 71 Camaro RS Z/28 I am so looking forward to driving the Skylark down to Reno for Hot August Nights.
  20. To me pride in our country is more to do with what we have accomplished and what we still can. Its about our people, our industries, our countryside, and so much more. The government does not necessarily play that big a part in it. And hey, part of that pride in our country is that if we don't like our leaders we can always replace them. Please, let's leave the political insults alone. We have a lot of different views on how things should be run in this country and we all have a right to our opinions. Hmmm, another thing to be proud of.
  21. ocnblu-the type of aircraft was never specified. The principles are the same no matter what size, its just that the larger aircraft would not be able to be supported. tmp-The aircraft creates its forward movement by the engines moving air. The pushing of the air backwards makes the airplane move forward (Newton's Third Law of Motion) The wheels just turn. As the airplane starts to accelerate forward the treadmill starts its reverse motion. The plane still moves forward but the wheels spin at twice the rate of the moving aircraft due to the treadmill. It will take the same approximate distance for the aircraft to reach takeoff velocity. The wheels will just wind up spinning at twice the speed, putting greater stress on the landing gear. Since the pilots use an indicated airspeed to guage takeoff speed the increased wheelspeed would never be known to them. In fact, our pilots on C17s never know wheelspeed. Our wheelspeed sensors only give them information in case the antiskid system senses a difference between the 12 main landing gear tires. I know my explanation to tmp is a reversal of what I previously thought but the articled linked in the Fly/No Fly thread was very informative and correct. I also found some great information at work in our technical manuals.
  22. Anything can be spun around to say whatever an "analyst" wants it to say. Many of them start off researching their facts with their conclusions already drawn and use whatever information supports them and throws out the rest. So much for journalism today. Hey, has anyone else noted what the first 4 letters in analyst spells out?
  23. 72 Chevelle SS454....drool Oh excuse me for a moment. I love watching those rice burners who think a stock civic can run 13s have their eyes opened to real muscle. I also love it when they tell me, "well I can always supercharge this thing and then easily beat your Camaro." My answer? "Ummm, I can put a supercharger in here too."
  24. Not surprising to me. The US has a very strong national identity.
  25. Umm, I really think I am too late for the joke on this but I do feel the rabbit is confused.
