  1. I like the Lucerne alot. I think that the M and GS were mentioned because, according to Buick's decree a while back, they want to be a Lexus alternative. I alsways assumed that that meant having a similar lineup, and that a RWD flagship would eventually be placed above the Lucerne for the LS. Anyway, I think that they're on the right track. The Lucerne has the looks and feel to be a value alternative to the M and GS. I disagree with you on the features... the press release let us know that the Lucerne will have a host of features that rivals the comp, including exclusives like heated windshield fluid and the remote start. The glaring problems with the Lucerne when compared to the others two is the powertrain and wheel drive. I'm hoping that the with the next gen, after it's established, Buick will finally which to RWD and put in the CTS's DOHC 3.5 V6 as a base and the Northstar making between 300-350hp. Then, on paper, it'll compare much more favorably with the M and GS. But the comparison is valid. In fact, I'm happy that Buick mentioned those cars as competitors. It lets us know that they're long term goal is to truly be a Lexus killer.
  2. I absolutely love it. The only side I need to see is the rear to reserve giving it a slam dunk, but something tells me the whole car will be great. I hope the don't change a thing, especially the interior. They should keep it like that the way the Aura's interior should be left alone.
  3. Yeah. I love that name. They should have kept that name, and Regal (vs. Lacrosse), IMO. Also, since they did change the name to Lacrosse, I wish they would have chosen Allure for this market. Names like Rega, LeSabre, and Allure sound supscale to me.
  4. Damn, it's not coming up for me.
  5. Both, I hope. It'll recieve a V8, and that's the Rainer's main draw. Both the Rendezous and Rainier are similar to size, and are really redundant, except for the engine. Buick should stick to crossover SUVs anyway, IMO.
  6. Agreed. It'll be the same as with the Aura. The only things that'll change will be sensible things... conventional exhausts. Normal tires/wheels, a little less chrome, a little more utility. Normal roof, and probably two more doors (atleast to start). What we see though, is what we'll be getting in essence.
  7. The production is sure to have more utility built in. The Infiniti FX that it mimicks alot of it's design of (especially in the roof, greenhouse, and stance) doesn't have the most utility, but it sells like hotcakes. The point is, Saturn (and more importantly GM) will be bring cars to the NA market that look premium and are desirable.
  8. It sure looks like it. And with four doors. :)
  9. I just hope this article's true. If it is, GM's back on track, IMO. Bring it on, and don't forget Buick in the process...
  10. Great new. I don't know which name I like better; I always like the Rendevous name. But this next x-over being similar to the concepts great news.
