  1. I think Kappa would work fine. We know how well balanced it is. We know it's a flexible platform than be stretched, etc. We know it accomodates a V8, let alone a V6.
  2. I thought the exact same thing. This car's interior takes alot or cues from the GS. The interior's really nice.
  3. Thankyou for the solid info. I have a feeling the Enclave will be executed correctly, and will give the RX and MDX reason to worry. I feel the same about the possible TE CUV also.

    07 Escalade spotted

    What he ^ said!
  5. I disagree. So what if the Enclave's pricing is close to the SRX? The SRX starts at $40K and the Enclave should start at $35K. It's not like they'll be rebadged sisters... they'll be very different vehicles, and can be sold at similar prices if marketed right. The SRX is based of RWD Sigma, and the Enclave will be more of an RX type softroader instead of a sports car with a backpack (like the FX and X5). Ven's pricing is on point, IMHO.

    BRX Sketch

I always thought the Motor Trend sketch was the best looking for them all, and most believable. That said, I do not like the other sketch at all. It'd be perfect for Saab, but not for any other division.

    BRX Sketch

A long wheel base Theta, so that it'll be able to accmodate a third row.
  8. If the Invicta name comes back, it should be the name of the flagship above Lucerne. The CUV is a great idea; this is a fast growing segment, though GM will still be a few years late to the game. If it's priced in the 29-36 range, with the Enclave in the 38-45 range, Buick will be in the bread and butter of the lux crossover market. What they will still need, is a RWD flagship and a halo, a la' Velite.
  9. ^ Switching to steel is the right way to go.
  10. The G6 competes directly with Camry. The G6 conv will compete with the Solara.
  11. The looks are okay. It's a safe design, and will probably sell well because of it in addition to the fact it'll be a great value. What's really interesting is the fact it's got a diesel coming to our shores, which is great news. Hopefully they'll become more common place in the U.S. What's also interesting is that they went that route instead of going the hybrid route for great fuel economy.
  12. This was a good, fair, and accurate article. Buick's problems stems from increased competition from the forgein makes, and from it's resting on it's laurels in the 80's, which resulted in model updates slipping and no new product. I believe that with the right product and marketing, Buick can appeal to the younger crowd. People said that Cadillac wouldn't shake it's old foegy image too, and look what happened with the right product, and well placed pics of the CTS running the N-Ring, etc. Done correctly, Buick can be an American Lexus and not step on Caddy's toes.
  13. Agreed.
  14. Ditto. We all new Titanium wouldn't make it to production. What matters is that the car's dash is still great looking, and has not really shifted much from the original at all. I still love the that orange leather. I'd love to see that make it to production. Reminds me of Infiniti's (which I also like).

    2006 Acura CSX

My thoughts exactly. If GM did that, they'd be tar and feathered. Yet, some of the guys on these other forums are going crazy for this little rebadged Civic... go figure. Personally, I think it's a mistake. They shouldn't go lower than the TSX, IMO, but atleast it's coming to the U.S.
  16. True, but it's still a little funny, lol. I mean, they're going crazier than I've ever seen on here. "OMFG I want one!!"... for a Camry? Not to take anything away from it; I find it attractively bland in a way only Toyota could do. That said, it's still the best looking Camry to date, IMHO.

    Red tag Pricing

    Hehehe
  18. I was thinking the same damn thing. Though it's bland, in only the way Toyota can make anything bland, it brings to mind Lexus. Why not have real differentiation between the brands? That's crazy to me. That said, it's a clear little brother to the Avalon, and an older brother to the Corolla. I like the headlamps here much more than on the to-droopy Avalon/Corolla's. As for the rear, just what I thought it'd be, right down to the RL/new S/7/Avalon trunk treatment.
  19. I'm guessing a G8.
  20. I've loved Buicks since my Dad's '74 Regal, and then my mom's '88 LeSabre. I'm 26 and love the Lucerne (and really like the LaCrosse). Congrats to John Horton.
  21. If the Escalade's any indication of the CTS's upcoming interior, I can't wait to see it.
  22. Kappa is it's own dedicated platform, from the ground up. Also, it's flexible, and could lengthed to accomodate a backseat for a sedan if necesarry if built for say... going toe to toe with the BMW 1 when it comes.
  23. It's awesome all, all the way around. I love the grill, gauges, and interior. I love the 22s and 403HP. The only things I'm iffy on is the thick chrome bar that holds the wreath on the rear hatch, and the chrome strips on the doors. To me, that's just a bit of chrome overkill, but besides that it's perfect.
  24. Agreed. Probably a the next gen LS or something, but still. I agree. Bond belongs in an Aston.

    Avalon Pursuit?

I hate Toyota with a passion, but I have to say, that crap is hot.
