I always had a little respect for Honda and their design language. It used to be almost Audiesque...a certain purity. The sedan version of the new Accord is downright odd. Strange quirky details. Like that weird little jagged line where the reverse lights and the turn signal meet....it doesn't make sense. From certain angles the headlights look like a cancerous growth. Well, the dash speaks for itself....hideously overdone. It almost seems like they were aping the BMW 5 Series and not in a good way. The least successful of the Bangle treatment. The coupe somewhat better. Ugly is in. The masses will come.

Mustang84.....you articulated some things very well. Music, oh man....I hate whats happened to pop music....so much is so over produced to the degree it doesn't sound like humans touched it. And yes, airbags and all the nonsense mandated by gov't regulations. Cars have become so complicated, expensive and heavy. And yet they cry, better mpg!!! Years ago a large American car got as good mileage as some economy cars today. Honestly, its a wonder carmakers don't just give up, they will never satisfy the haters of the car. Oh and another thing I hate in 2008....the expansive use of cheap plastic in cars. If I hear that term 'carbon footprint' much more I'm going to jump off some high building.

Here's some reasons I hate 2008: 1. Cellphones and the incessant chattering of the masses, anywhere, anyplace 2. Overly refined cars and trucks. To the point of numbness. No sense of being connected to the road and surrounding environment. 3. The Green agenda. Sick to death of seeing it in every newscast, in every magazine and newspaper. The self righteous do-gooders have hijacked any remaining joy in life. It's the new religion. Cultish almost. 4. Vulgar and low class celebrities. 5. Buicks are no longer Buicks. I could go on and on.....tell us some reasons you hate 2008.

68 you said it well. Today manufactuers can't even bring themselves to change a few trim pieces to freshen a new model. Totally agree...sometimes I feel I'm in the wrong era. Damn, I just looked closer at the Buicks you posted...that coupe in bottom right corner is stunning. Buick, please bring back grand, stylish cars again. Please. Just pure American unabashed, in your face grandeur.

It's not 'horrible'....just distracting for the eye. These are otherwise very good looking trucks...I'd just get it in black. I think it must be the very large wheel openings, it's more visible.

I dislike the way the rear fenderwells of GM pickups are painted the color of the truck. Especially in lighter colors. The front fenderwells are blacked out. It makes the truck look slightly inexpensive. GM, could you fix this for 2009? Thanks.

It makes you wonder if designers get together over cocktails and delcare: "its the era of the front fender sidevents". Is this the opera window of our times? The vinyl roof?

Aqua?...please say it isn't so!....it has to be one of the most dated colors...wasn't that great when it was 'in'. On the subject of model updates, there was a time when GM made complete body changes every year, and now they can't even change a tailight lense, or a grill insert?...it would be nice to have something freshened for the new model year, even some small details.

I hate to say it but the Edge is the better choice. It's a nice compromise between a big suv and a wagon. Much better looking too....the Vue looks chubby.

I'm a big fan of B&W photography, great idea, 68. (also, for some reason when I post pics via ImageShack they always reduce in size....anyone know what I'm doing wrong?....never used to have problems with this)

I read that this was the same platform that the famous GM motorhomes were built on.
