I know, I've had the car in the driveway for about 3 hours now and need to get a cold air induction kit. Just wondering if anyone has come across a site that is selling performance parts for the Malibu/G6 twins with the 3.9.

This thing pulls, the 3.9 is a nice motor, even though the 3.5 in my G6 isn't that bad of an engine either. I'm glad I have the hyd. PS in this. While the electric in the G6 isn't that bad, when you slow down, it recalibrates and gets very loose, and it is sometimes startling. One thing I didn't notice is there is a shock tower cross-brace and there is a GM Performance Division emblem on it. Very nice little touch. I like the wireless headphones for the rear seat passengers too (I didn't get the DVD though).

I just signed the papers and pick it up at 3:30, so I will have pics ready around 4:30...

You do realize that the size and placement of the G6 bodyside molding is useless to the kind of enviornment that we now drive in. My G6 received a big ol' ding back by the gas door two weeks after delivery. From the size and placement, I would have to say from the back door of an SUV. Unless a small car parks next to me, regular car's body side molding is useless anymore from the rash of larger, higher-riding CUVs and SUVs. Hence I either park in the boondocks or find an end parking space and park as close to the curb as possible. Say what you will about the old Pontiac's body cladding, but my old 2003 Grand Am GT wore door dings well - all I had to do is buff out the cladding.

The 0 for 72 put the MAXX SS over the top for me and I broke down and bought it. I probably won't get it until Saturday. I'll post pics then. I couldn't go wrong with the 0% God, who would have thought I'd have two Epsilons in the driveway.

I checked BillyWest.com and I did not see any news about the status of the direct to DVD Futurama movies, but he did say that they start recording in July for the new stuff.

While the Simpsons have really lost their bite, Futurama was just hitting its stride when FOX assured that it would fail by pre-empting with crappy football, changing dates and times to a point where fans had no idea if it was going to be on or not. It's hard to say since GM has cut down their fleet sales. The GP has taken huge hits lately and most of that is fleet. We'd need a true retail sales list to be sure.

The Messiah of Morris Avenue - Tony Hendra: What if Jesus came back 20 years from now as a Latino from New York? This book looks at what might happen. It really makes you think. (I'm not a religious person and as long as you know the story of Jesus and aware of the way religion is "bought and sold" today, this book can speak to you. Tony Hendra was an editor of National Lampoon's and has worked with members of Monty Python. It is a serious book, but not a religious text and is not blaphemous.) Lies My Teacher Told Me: Think by reading textbooks in High School you know a thing or two about history? You probably were given a pack of lies, or at least had "uncomfortable" subjects like the Native American extinction, racism, slavery and "infallable" American Heros white-washed until you only know the legend and not the facts.

Round fog lights - Old one. That's the only way I can tell from the front. New ones have rectangular lights that match the Mariner. But that's just me - I'm mental in NEEDING to know what year vehicles are.

I find this interesting, and there may be a bias in the people in the industry that voted, but almost every time the industry voted a Domestic vehicle, the media made sure they counteracted that with something else... It pretty much confirms that this pic: http://sohc.vtec.net/news_files/560419/07cr-v_ha01.jpg is VERY accurate. And that couldn't even get on the Special Olympic version of the team running for the most gorgeous SUV ever built.

It's normal for design studios to have rival pictures up - if nothing more for size comparison. Look at the Camaro Concept pics, there are Mustangs and G35 Coupes on the wall, it doesn't mean that Chevy was copying, just setting a market. Now, I'm not sticking up for Chery or any of the rip-off Chinese designs, many of which are backwards engineered Japanese or American Cars, but pics in a design studio isn't a cause for alarm.

While I think that would be awsome if true... Why BumbleBee? I know he is the Transformer that befriends Spike and is usualy the "main" character in the human interaction realm, but he was called BumbleBee because he was a yellow beetle and never really thought of as "cool" like a Camaro would be. Unless they stick him as a butternut yellow Berlinetta and when he gets revamped his personality changes.
