  1. I really like the SRT8, but the Super Bee stickers are horrible. I'm all for looking back into the 60's and 70's and like the Daytona editions but even as a kid I could never figure out what was cool about a "Super Bee"? It just sounds silly and looks just as silly.
  2. Why doesn't the GM buses get more press? They save more gas that all the Priuses sold last year combined. Isn't this a much more practicle application for the hybrid? A vehicle that travels 50x more miles a year than the average US driver? What if every UPS truck, every bus, every garbage truck, etc had a hybrid? How many millions of gallons of gas would we save? How much cleaner could the air be? A hell of a lot more than an approximately 200,000 consumer hybrids. And when all the hybrid tech is shook down by these big guys, the cost may be lessened for us little guys to purchase. The lovely press portrays Toyota as saving the world with the Pruis but GM has an IV full of oil. If only they would report the truth.
  3. Probably the roof and doors and maybe the Tailgate. Not sure if that's different. Again, I am not sticking up for GM's rebadging, just putting things on a level playing ground. IMO, the Mitsu Raider is the best looking vehicle playing off the Dodge. It is much better looking than the Dakota in the front and I hate Mitsus. I think the Dakota/Durango front is too squared and silly looking. So to be honest, the Aspen is better looking than the Durango, but the exterior styling of the Aspen is just not up to the 300/Pacifica/Crossfire design levels. It's just a thrown together rebage to get some more #s for Chrysler (from a buisness end, there is nothing wrong with that. I'm not a fan of the Torrent, but it is getting sales for Pontiac). Ridges on the hood does not a Chrysler make. I don't think even the most die-hard of Chrysler fans can argue with me in that last paragraph ^
  4. Have you ever parked a GTO and a Cavalier together? Driven either one? If you hate the style is one thing, but to compare it to a Cavalier is just stupid. YOu heard that on the playground and now say it to the sixth-graders to prove your cool.
  5. Chevy Cobalt>Pontiac G6 G6 is epsilon, Colbalt is Delta Mid-size and small. The G4/Pursiut are Cobalt clones but only sold in Mexico/Canada Chevy Equinox>Pontiac Torrent>Saturn Vue>Buick Rainer>GMC Envoy The Rainer and Envoy are TRUCKS. Vue, Equ and Torrent are car-based two completely different platforms. Pontiac GTO> Chevy Cavalier You're obviuosly being a dick. I think I hear the kindergarten bell calling for you. -- When you have more divisions you have more platform sharing. Why don't you bring up the well-done ones like Colorado-H3 Malibu/G6/9-3 Solstice/Sky have completely different styles, interiors the whole feeling. The Equinox and VUE would fool 95% of the non-car public. Grand Prix/Impala/LaCrosse DTS/Lucerne I am not standing up for the blatant rebaging of some of GMs (Canyon, Ranier, the minivan quads) but to cry foul when the word "rebadging" is used for this truck, most rational people would say, "Yes it is a blatant rebadge that doesn't really live up to the design the Chrysler has been trying to convey, but DCX felt like they needed a full-size truck and that's what DCX fans have to live with." I think the GM minivans are jokes. I am not "blinded" to say that.
  6. Dodge could have owned this segment, but the Daimler side said no.
  7. G6s with the panaoramic sunroof suffer from more wind noise than a car with just a regular sunroof. I know. But that's like me saying that the Mustang Coupe is much quieter at highway speeds than my Z28 convertible. I expect the panoramic sunroof to produce a little more noise due to the panels. If I wanted a completely silent car, I wouldn't have gotten a sunroof. Thanks for another $h!ty read... I wouldn't trade my G6 in for any of those.

I took a black plastic bag and taped a piece of paper that said "Out of Order" and rolled it up inside the front of the costume. Believe me, if I had a nickel for everytime some came up to me "assuming the position"... I knew that would happen so everytime someone jokingly did it, I rolled down the plastic bag and said, "It's my day off" and kept on dancin'.
  9. Yes, since we are talking about Brits, fag=cigarette Sorry for those that didn't get my meaning...
  10. How great would that be if that was true. Though if it was true, Toyota has enough money to make sure that the case either never makes it to court or if it did, could have a team of laywers that could overtake small countries. Fun to read about though.
  11. The Ghosn boat is listing... I don't think the French will be making comic books about the "myth of a man" that the Japanese have. He could prove me wrong, but the Nashville move was just a shot across the nose of a man who is getting to big for his britches.
  12. When I read this topic, I thought they were eluding that we were starting a circle jerk or something. I think Blondie needs to smoke some fags. Proof that not every sperm is sacred.
  13. FOG, don't worry... the mass media hasn't clued in that SAAB is OWNED by GM. I heard it refered as "GM has a stake in SAAB" by media yesterday. I think 100% ownership is more than a stake. And I believe what others have said - It's not the amount of brands that were killing GM, it was the senseless overlap. You have to make sure that brands are completely separated. Why did my wife want a G6 over a Malibu even though they were the same underneath? The Malibu was too bland and she wanted the panoramic sunroof.

68, I don't live in Maine, but love the place. I live in NJ. And the urinal was made out of celing tile - the big 4x2 pieces. I won second prize at a bar at Rutgers. You haven't lived until you bump and grind with women on a dance floor as a urinal.
  15. Actually Chicago is next, then NY.
  16. I left it open because it allows someone like Scott, who's job it is to put together the autoshow for Chevy and HUMMER, to refute alligations that the Hybrid was not on the floor and help kill some of this stupid "plan". Would you rather people blindly follow without some refutes from those that know, or help people "come to their own conclusions" with words from both sides?
  17. The Kabura is showing the 2008 RX-7 I believe. They have no clue...
  18. More media that needs a little more knowledge, or at least some fact-checking: http://yahoo.businessweek.com/autos/conten...0111_142895.htm Some choice lines: The Chevrolet Camaro, ... first introduced in 1969 Chrysler's Crossfire... runaway hit Also lumping the new "44%" bigger RAV4 to "smaller cars". Ugh.
  19. Dont forget the Enclave is a "CONCEPT". The full length console will probably not make it to production, or if it does it will be an option. You can't sell a huge CUV without folding seats. Where's the utility unless you opt for it.
  20. I saw this pitcure and tag line and had to share: The Detroit Free Press Yak with 2007 Ford Edge The Detroit Free Press Yak takes in the view of Ford's new display through the panoramic vista roof of the all new 2007 Ford Edge at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan 10 January 2006. Their mascot is a Yak! Ugh.

I've posted these before: Doing my best impression of the White Rock girl in the middle of Sebec Lake in Maine: (sorry boy's straight as an arrow) Being Fidel Castro's personal urinal for the evening As a child taking my aggressions out on a 1967 Cougar (probably because the Dolphins lost the 1984 Super Bowl).
  22. If Toyota still had a Supra, then they would be one car short too. The Z06 has 505 hp and is rated what? 27 mpg highway?
  23. 2006 GT 4-door with everything but OnStar. My wife loves the car (if it was all for me, I would have went with the GTP, but my wife wont miss the 40 horse). I like the car and it performs and drives so much nicer than the 2003 Grand Am GT that we replaced.
  24. I'd say Geely is at about 1984 with this interior. Looks like if you brushed your knuckles across the dashboard, you'd lose a few layers of skin. They did a nice job matching the color on the passenger-side airbag cover. And to think this is the best car they can find to show at Detroit. Can't wait for this ass-ault on our auto market. Disposable cars will be back in style. Full Geely story at Det-News http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic...396/1148/AUTO01
  25. All this is to make GM cars more competitive for "internet shoppers". The Grand Prix GXP is down to $27,500 base price. That looks better in Edmunds than $30,000.
