  1. Lots of examples just from GM: (not an exhaustive list) Acadia Malibu Monte Carlo Bonneville Montana LeMans Yukon Rainier
  2. Chip Foose is designing a Cruze for the Toronto auto show. See the Facebook album of progress <a href="
  3. Shouldn't that be an A2 (in keeping with their naming conventions)?
  4. Another article http://www.autoblog.com/2012/01/19/gm-retakes-global-sales-crown-with-over-9m-units-shifted-in-2011/
  5. Those hinges are bizarre. Maybe moreso than the styling.
  6. My big problem with them is if I want to go on vacation. I could see myself in a Volt, but not a Leaf. My 800 km (500 mi) one-day trip to Quebec City from Toronto last spring would have taken a whole heck of a lot longer in a non-range-extended EV.
  7. Would a VR4 configuration help to make a 4 banger more compact for certain appllications like city cars? For example, would a VR4 fit in the Smart forTwo engine bay?
  8. In other news, water is wet. Why would I buy a car that can only do 95% of what I want it to do?
  9. How does Holden's reputation in Australia compare to Opel's in Europe?
  10. 13.1 is the length in miles of a half marathon. You will also sometimes see "26.2" stickers for those who have completed a full marathon. So there vanity plates are just cheesy inside jokes for a running couple.
  11. ...but I must say, I love the 3-door design. One of the things I hate about my Cruze is a symptom of any sedan - you can't easily shoulder check as the B-pillar is right beside your head. Miss my Cobalt and its long coupe doors for that. This is the best of both worlds. More useful than the Saturn 3-door too, as the rear door hinges normally.
  12. My comment on the Dart again applies here. Who decided that widemouth bass were the new trendsetters for grille design?
  13. Thanks to whoever fixed the thread. I posted it with an iPad and it's hard to copy the pictures in individually.
  14. Looking at it again, there are still some details that bug me, but overall it's a nice design. This is coming from a guy who usually doesn't like new designs at first glance.
  15. http://jalopnik.com/5873960/2013-dodge-dart-this-is-it I'm getting really sick of this trend of putting a black bar under the grille to give the car a huge "mouth". At least this ones not a grin Ike the Mazda 3.
  16. Chrysler is definately my new Toyota. I feel they are undeserving and every month they succeed it irks me. Especially this much. At least Toyota went through a crisis and appears to have learned something. Chrysler didn't learn jack.
  17. I think these tallights help http://www.aliexpress.com/product-fm-img/478594509-Chevy-Cruze-Mercedez-Benz-style-Type-LED-Tail-Light-Lamp-for-09-11-4P-set-wholesalers.html
  18. They picked a great name. 'Free market' sounds like 'free speech' and 'free choice', and that makes it harder to deride. (but I'm going to anyways) I never really understood the need for free trade. Conditions in the economy of every country are different, and need to be controlled by each government accordingly. That's why I never understood why Europe adopted the Euro... you lose control of your economy and inflation rate, which is a lesson they seem to be learning the hard way right now. Can anybody enlighten me as to why free trade or currency unions are a good thing? I'm only seeing negative points for both.
  19. I don't see why we don't have tariffs... What's wrong with protectionism? ...and how is that socialist?
  20. I thought Jeremy Clarkson had decided that the real a-holes had moved on to Audis...
  21. I think he's trying to focus on the life changes with this thread and isn't happy that it's evolved into a discussion of what he should get.
