  1. mmm that was the weirdest comment ever...
  2. of course, but they were, and this is the oil companies first legit reason to increase gas prices since the whole OPEC thing of the 70s.
  3. woa... did you all miss the fact that 30% of our refineries are off line due to the hurricane??? thats the reason for the gas hike!
  4. well the 3.5L in the 'bu can pull off 0-60 in 7.6 sec with very tall gearing on 4 gears. an engine with 1 less litre and 2 less cyls not to mention about 400 less lbs to lug around... and yet it still gets worse gas mileage for the sake of half a second? no offence, but my 2.4L I5 with no VVT... no nothing gets about 20/25 with 168hp and 162lb torque and thats with a 4spd overdrive automatic... granted 0-60 on that thing is like 9.6 seconds...
  5. at 2300rpms in overdrive my car is going about 55mph. at 6000rpm in 1st gear my car is going about 35 :P
  6. Ive resorted to using regular in my car... reccomends premium... got pretty bad gas mileage for a while... but its up to 20mpg now.
  7. why does it only get 20/28 mpg? Nissan has had an I4 of similar performance for years that has gotten better gas mileage than that. heck the 3.5L V6 in that thing could get better gas mileage... and be faster!
  8. well C&G kept wanting me to download some applet and i was like... no so i like though C&G was gone or somethin.
  9. actually i think it needs an I4 diesel. :P
  10. yeah but by then itll be getting like 50mpg city and 100 highway and make like u know 212 hp by then.
  11. i was going to say 4.2, but that engine is too powerful for a base engine. too high insurance costs... thats why i went with the 3.5L... regardless if they were made to be revvers instead of stop light kings they could be some serious fun even if they arent all that powerful.
  12. Im sure this wont get good views on it... but why not make the 3.5L Atlas engine standard on it? 225hp isnt anything to laugh about, and they may be able to pull off 23/32 as far as MPG. and if they make the gearing right, it can sure feel fast... my lame @$$ 110hp 2.8L V6 feels (and sounds) fast
  13. a Celeron? WHY? are you really that cheap satty... :P

    ZO6!

a cars weight does not affect theoretical top speed. Aerodynamics and gearing do.
