  1. Compass: You are a far-right social libertarian. Right: 8.43, Libertarian: 7.07 Some of these questions are still poorly worded.
  2. Well except for the fact that this too will be an import if its made in Korea.
  3. Black I detest white, it is far too common and it shows dirt plus its TERRIBLE color in the fog, and it gets foggy here. Not that black doesn't but still.
  4. Well if stuff like food was taxed then i would agree with you. But most "necessities" of life aren't taxed. besides food is heavily subsidized, so any tax that the poor would pay on food would come no-where near the amount that it is subsidized. A flat tax with the basic necessities of life excluded is the fairest tax system... BUT... it would deliver very erratic tax revenues which would force governments into conservative spending which would theoretically create large surpluses most years. However that would never happen as California shows quite clearly, and you will just end up with tons of debt.
  5. Then the government is effectively promoting fuel efficient vehicles AS IS. But still, its best to eliminate fuel taxes entirely and get those revenues from sales taxes. No reason to punish poor people who often cannot afford to live close to work.
  6. Nobody wants pushrod technology. They want flathead technology.
  7. I can write in cursive if i go real slow, but meh. I have a hard time reading the fancy old-person cursive that used to be the norm. Like i can read James's cursive no problem, but like people who are 80+, that cursive is far to fancy.
  8. my handwriting is mostly chicken scratch of 60% print and 40% cursive. It is largely unreadable, even by myself.
  9. Your food is heavily subsidized and thus whenever you eat you are the recipient of welfare. So yes, every person and company in the nation is the recipient of welfare.
  10. lmao i love how the news ad that showed up for me says "Obama Socialist? Vote here Now!"
  11. Pay off your house mortgage and you essentially are.
  12. Well hell why don't you just get a REAL push mower. Those things never break as long as they are kept reasonably well lubed.
  13. MMmm cheap property. One of these days when im a rich billionaire im going to buy the entire town.
  14. Well we are a consumer nation that manufacturing-wise is uncompetitive on a national scale with other nations. What do you expect? The US of A is destined to be a 3rd world country in the long run the way things are going. That being said, im not about to go around proclaiming that we banish Wal*Mart from the face of the earth. Wal*Mart has been responsible for the productivity gains of America for the past decade. They have also been a large reason that consumer goods have not spiraled out of control inflationary wise. I'm not saying these are good or bad in and of themselves, but it is a symptom of an economy that is not stable.
  15. For the record this program WILL hurt auto sales in the upcoming months and years since the people who were considering buying all pretty much did it now, if they do extend it then it will literally make everyone who was considering buying a car buy one in the next few months, leaving years of dismal auto sales. It may also make things worse if the people who were buying these cars credit was less than stellar.
  16. This program will cause a sudden increase in sales this month, and several months of lower than average sales. In the end, this program is non-beneficial to anyone, except the few people who got in on it.
  17. By destroying these old turn-in cars, it makes cars in the used car market worth more, which in turn is worse for poor people who would just like to get some sort of car. Way to not help the poor people congress!
  18. Question: How many years of driving an old pos 80s car around would it take to equal the amount of pollution from MAKING and SHIPPING a new car?
  19. Anywho regarding the corn stuff, the feds actually require that a lot of daily food products contain corn in some sort of way. Its a load of BS all in the name of "health" and helping the poor farmers (apparently we live in 1900 again). It's more than just HFCS.
  20. Anyone drink Steelies?
  21. The imported mexican coke uses sugar too. Sooooo awesome! i generally hate coke, but i love the mexican one.
  22. If y'all want healthier foods, stop government subsidies of corn. There i said it.
