Volkswagen Dealers Offer Cheap Leases To Bring Attention

How Desperate Is Volkswagen Getting In the U.S.?

Imagine getting into a new vehicle with a payment that could range $39 to $99 per month. Seem like a fantasy? Well that is what a number of Volkswagen dealers across the U.S. are doing. An example is a Volkswagen dealer offering an $89 36 month lease on Jetta, after you hand over $2,500 as a down-payment.

It's part of an effort by Volkswagen to bring customers in now at a loss to have hopefully return in three years when the automaker will have a brand new lineup. 2018 will see Volkswagen in the beginning stages of their plans to introducing new products every five years - a seven-seat crossover is the first - and refreshing their product lineup every three years.

But even with this move, the question remains if this will help Volkswagen or not? Sales in the U.S. have dropped in the past two years, despite the overall market seeing growth.

So...VW and the Jetta going that cheap in price?

Well...it is the people's car after all. So it aint THAT bad of a marketing campaign. However, I wonder how the VW marketing gurus are gonna convince the elite to part with their money when the Phaeton arrives again for the second time. The thing is...the failure the first time...VW had increased their prices across their model lines to line themselves with the luxurious Phaeton....THIS time around...the Jetta has returned to its original formula it being entry level basic car and the Passat also has dropped a level.  The base Passat is where the Jetta once was...The Passat in the late 1990s reached entry level luxury...The CC Passat is where the Passat once was...

I fear the Phaeton will be another sales flop in the North American market. but I see a ton of Jettas being leased.

    • Hmmmm... questionable. Yes. Of course. What have I been saying all this phoquing time???!!! That American and Canadian economies have been intertwined for as long as it HAS been. Since the US became a country. Since 1812. Since even BEFORE when North American indigenous people actually owned the lands and did trading with themselves.   Why do you think I mentioned the Edmund Fitzgerald with the CSL Niagara and Tadousac???  Do I have to SPELL it out for you???!!!   And COUNTLESS of OTHER little facts here and there.  When I say that CANADIAN IRON ORE was shipped to Detroit for DIRT CHEAP and Detroit built cars for the US and Canada with factories in the US AND Canada...  Same thing with the trees.   Yeah...well...  debatable.  if I have to spell it out, David.  And quite frankly, if you or any other dumb American did NOT know.. its PHOQUING nerve wracking when talking to Americans, they DO leave out the IMPORTANCE of CANADA within North America. And I bet its DOUBLY frustrating to MEXICANS when even CANADIANS dont mention what MEXICO brings to the table when it comes to the North American economy...   Well yeah. But...Americans LEARN from Canada too? Or is it American greatness and that phoquing ego of your people that does not allow for Canada to actually be good at something...  A Canadian engineered and produced airplane...   Blackberry is a Canadian Company   So is Multimatic...where Ford built the Ford GT and now the Mustang GTD...      Yes...thank-you for an acknowledgement.   Again...questionable. You are getting angry at a poster for shoving it in your face. But Im just a nobody on the internet.  GET ANGRY AT WHO IS CAUSING YOUR WORLD TO BE UPSIDE DOWN.  DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!  BECAUSE YOUR COUNTRY'S DOWNFALL ALSO MEANS MY COUNTRY'S DOWNFALL AS WELL BECAUSE OF MAGA. And the kicker,  YOUR PRESIDENT HAS DECLARED WAR ON MY COUNTRY ON TOP OF ALL THAT SHYTE...   What is it that YOU phoques   guys do NOT understand by all of this???!!! Its NOT just hapenning to you in YOUR country, SHYTE MAY ALSO HAPPEN TO MINE AS WELL.   CANADA is DE-COUPLING from the US JUST to be protected ECONOMICALLY. BUT...there MIGHT be a PHYSICAL war to happen... DO YOU UNDERSTAND???!!!   This is NOT in some foreign land somewhere. In an African  blood diamond setting or in the Middle East.  THIS is in AMERICA.    Canada might be next?  If your loser President feels comfortable in pointing guns at CIVILIANS in YOUR country?  Do NOT give me ILLEGALS!!!   Democratic countries DO NOT resolve issues with VIOLENCE...     And?  As a Canadian, Im allowed to give you my opinion. As a human as well. BUT...since you want to throw American shyte towards me...   My dad's doggy tags.  Left: Canadian army during WW2. Right:  American Army Airforce during the Korean War.  I am not exactly an American citizen.  I could be one if I enacted upon becoming one.
    • Love me a cool and overcast day with autumn color.
    • This is very interesting: White-collar workers want to switch to the trades: Report This could spell the end for some auto companies as China chokes off supply of these rare earth elements that just proves new sources outside China control are needed. Auto industry raises the alarm as China tightens export rules for rare earths I refuse to listen to any music by Kid Rock, a Nazi loving hate filled person that supports Idiot47 as he is too dumb to think and actually understand what is really going on. Easy way out due to his music and having money so he no longer thinks about what really is going on. Kid Rock Makes Quite A Claim About Trump And Black Communities — And Experts Would Like A Word The stupidity of the MAGA and people like Kid Rock in not understanding how they hurt communities. Black workers make up 17.2% of the Automotive Industry workers. Total Minority workers are 47.1% and yet they cannot seem to understand how going in all Nazi like into Black Communities does not help, but hurts this country.
    • Let's correct one thing, not all Americans are Dumb, Canadian lumber industry has benefited heavily from the tie ups with Washington State Lumber companies as management of the land, replanting and harvesting over decades to make things sustainable was shared to help sister / brother lumber companies north of the boarder be more efficient and profitable. Learning from mistakes of the past in America has allowed Canadians to move forward with greater efficiency.  Just as we have learned much about mining better ways from Canadians who mined in permafrost and ground that is far harder to mine than in areas to the south. There is a reason why Canadian Mining companies are developing mines in the U.S.  We all agree that MAGA is the Biggest Idiots of the U.S. and led by a racist hate filled Idiot47. But this does not make all Americans Dumb Phoquing Idiots to use your terminology.  After all you are discussing this with U.S. citizens on a site hosted in the U.S.
    • Well...yeah about the forestry.   Plus Canada has forests that have been untouched since the dawn of time and trees that have been left to grow for hundreds if not thousands of years, the wood is as strong as Paul Bunyan himself... THIS is a VERY big reason why CANADIAN lumber is sooooooo coveted by American and Canadian wood builders. Couple that with the fact that these forests could swallow SEVERAL US States in them... Also add to the fact that Canadians deforest with the LOWEST rates of any other country in the world AND our logging is as  efficient as it could be making Canadian lumber as cheap as it could be benefitting YOU dumb Americans the MOST without tariffs...  Sure American lumber companies dont benefit...but simply put, US lumbar companies do not have the phoquing resources...ie the phoquing trees, to phoquing compete.  But I guess...uneducated and misinformed moronic Americans will always fall for snake oil salesmen ignoring the fact that ALL phoquing Americans BENEFIT from CHEAP PHOQUING CANADIAN LUMBER!!! At least Katy Perry understands the benefits of Canadian wood!!!
