    Rumorpile/Spying: 400 HP S60 Anyone?

    Volvo's marketing campaign for the new S60 is going down a dark route. Instead of talking about how safe it is, Volvo is talking about how sporty and "Naughty" the S60 is. And it appears Volvo is upping the naughty a bit, if a report and some spy shots come to fruition.

    Sweden’s Tekniken Svarld reports that Volvo and performance partner, Polestar are working together to build high performance S60. Rumor points to a Yamaha sourced V8 that Volvo uses in the XC90 SUV and S80 flagship. The V8 has been tuned to somewhere in the range of 400 HP.

    Tekniken Svarld goes onto say that the S60 could get a sequential transmission, light-weight materials, and a new body kit.

    Which leads us to some spy shots that Tekniken Svarld nabbed of an S60 wearing some handsome camouflage. The pictures show this S60 sitting much wider than a normal model and equipped with bigger fenders and wider wheels.

    Is this the high-performance S60 undergoing some tests? No one is sure at the moment.

    Nice! Must be kinda nose-heavy though...

    I'm thinking so. I think Autoblog speculated that the T6 engine that is used in the S60 R-Design could also be used. Maybe that would help alleviate some of that nose weight

    That's the engine I was expecting to be used. Hopefully the AWD will be strongly rear-biased.

      For sure lease these EV's.  Depreciation is usually steep and can be unpredictable.  Take the lease deals and if it doesn't depreciate at ton, buy at at out the end, and if it does tank in value, walk away.

      Ever since Rush announced that they have found their new drummer, Anika Niles, and have announced that they will start touring againwith their new drummer, I found myself immersed in Rush songs.  And...I cannot even escape Rush even when I am not listening to them on my own as I watch hockey or even the World Series and in the background either the stadium's DJ or the arena's DJ or the TV channel itself, will play Tom Sawyer or Limelight.  Even Spirit of the Radio.  I'll listen to many of Rush's songs from the 70s and 80s on youtube.  But I have been playing Limelight more than the others.   I have to apologize to Rush fans everywhere. To Rush and Geddy Lee himself.   I was too immature to fully appreciate Geddy Lee's singing.  I always LOVED Rush's sound. Their music. Their instrument playing and mixing and all that they do is just extraordinary. 3 awesome talented musicians and their sound is just soooo powerful. Just 3 of them.   3.    I always respected that aspect but I never liked Geddy Lee's voice. I always thought he sounded awful. Until now... He does sing great. I just now...realized how great he is.  He has a certain tone to his voice that I never "got" and I mistakenly judged him for it.  I always knew that Rush's music would not be the same if not for Geddy's unique voice but I didnt like it and that made me not like Rush.  Again...until now.  I have turned the corner with Rush and now I could say that I am a fan.    Canuck Rock Rules!!!
