Sour Dodge Customer

Featured Replies

I have heard of a few disgruntled customers of the Dodge Ram. Locally too. What's up with this truck? Fantastic looks, but seems to have problems.

Lemon delivery for Dr. Z

Josee Valcourt / The Detroit News

Forget about AskDr.Z.com. William Bailey took his beef with Chrysler straight to the automaker when he drove his 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck from his Blountsville, Ala., home to DaimlerChrysler AG's Chrysler Group's headquarters in Auburn Hills. Bailey mounted a "Dodge Lemon Made" sign on his truck -- which he uses for work to haul trailers -- and circled on public roads near the automaker's building because he said the company sold him a lemon. Bailey said his fan clutch exploded on April 11 and that despite a 100,000 miles bumper-to- bumper warranty that expired last month, he's paid several thousands in repair.

He drove from Alabama to Detroit... sounds like his truck is working pretty good to me...

(sorry I am such an ass)

A truck that makes it to 100,000 miles and only blows a fan clutch is a lemon? Is the fan clutch covered in the 100,000 mile warranty?? Please. He would have known he had a lemon 90,000 miles ago.

he's pissed that the warrenty didn't cover something....

it's not really a lemon issue, it's a warrenty issue.
