Oldsmobile 88 Reliability????

How reliable is an Oldsmobile 88 Royale from 1994? I believe it has the 3.8L. The car has 170,000kms and it is in excellent condition. There is not much rust or any rust at all. My grandparents' friend from church is selling it for about $2000 or so. Yes they are over 60 lol.

I think the only issue from that Series I generation of 3800 is the manifold head gasket.

Is that manifold gasket a big cost if it needs to be replaced? It would probably last longer than the Cavalier even if it is older.

Buy it, jack it up and stuff a set of 20's under it. That seems to be the fate of a lot of these great, old skool Detroit cars these days.
