We are all going to post our best photos in this thread from today's

scavenger hunt. It took place from 9:00am - 2:00pm & we ended

up partnering up. Marcia wanted nothing to do with it but me & S.P.

used the Q45 and teamed up while XP & his G/F Amanda used her

2005 Impala & Dodgefan & his G/F Jessica (notice she joined the

forum recently) used the Intrepid.

Wait until the 3 teams have posted their best 40 photos and a list

of other interesting finds, then choose who you think found the

most interesting & bizzare photo ops. & items.

Yes, I have finally joined.. after hearing about it and reading this forum with Dodgefan, I decided 'what the heck' I might as well join.:) Plus it is a pretty cool forum. So yeah.. I am pretty excited to see yours and Speeding Penguin's pics, as well as XP's. I have to say this scavenger hunt was a real blast, I am happy that we got in on the fun. ^_^ Oh and btw our pics look a LOT better when on the comp, the camera just really sucks. lol

Oh, another BTW our pics won't be uploaded until 2nite, sadly, He just had to go to work too soo. If he had another 30mins, he could have done it but it just was not there. So they will be loaded around 11:00 or so. Sorry but it just happened that way, (and I dont know how to do it and he wants the pics loaded in a certain way so yeah) :( sorry

Okay, here are Team Speeding-Panther's official submissions.

In chronological order

1. Posted Image

Strangest object we saw strapped to a roof all day.

2. Posted Image

Orphaned Bumper Cover.

3. Posted Image

Yes, I scored me a free snowbrush!

4. Posted Image

Rudolph Crossing.

5. Posted Image

Good Samaritan in a Freightliner helps out a minivan driver.

6. Posted Image

Official plate. It was on the back of this: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/ssilvik/DSCN4238.jpg

7. Posted Image

Best "DANGER" sign.

8. Posted Image

Our hike was 85% over, we're almost to the Wrights Observation Tower.

9. Posted Image

Funniest hand-made sign of the day.

10. Posted Image

We went through hell & back to get this photo.

You just can't make this kind of stuff up!!! A Honda Minivan with dual

exhausts, 20" rims & mirror tint is one thing but a sticker on the rear

window of Calvin taking a leak on the HONDA emblem? AWSOME!!!

12. Posted Image

Busted up Camry. (it's not my surcharge so it's funny)

13. Posted Image

"C. BUTTS REALESTATE"

Cop car parked illegally. Typical Boston, (Medford Technically).

15. Posted Image

Fuselage Body Mopar, SCORE HUGE!!! But I forgot to include those in the final list, DAMN. It was for sale too.

16. Posted Image

This '67 Camaro was not for sale but Z-Lock was in LOVE with it.

I would not know anything about being obsessed with 1st gen F-bodys :P

17. Posted Image

Double whamy. It's a bustleback Lincoln & a "Presidential Edition" canvas top.

Lincoln really is the O.G. of tacky.

18. Posted Image

Skion Taxi... you just can not make this stuff up! There's so many things I have to add to the revised list for next time.

19. Posted Image

Broken Down Tow Truck, another item that was on the original ball point pen "hardcopy"

of the list but I somehow missed when putting together the fianal version. No matter.

BTW: As far as the little Pig, Marcia has an obssession with pigs, she drives the Q45

more than any of the other vehicles so that's where it stays. That pig has sat on

many a dashboard, from her Mazda MX3 GS when I met her to 4 years in the STS.

20. Posted Image

Of course after we saw this & laughed about it some hot bubble-but girl was walking

down the street & I made the ubiquitous "I'd love to give HER a big load" joke.

21. Posted Image

Okay, okay.... it's no Dodge Omni Shelby GLH but when is the last time you saw

a first gen. Plymouth Laser in this kind of condition & wearing its original paint &

sport stripe? I bet many tired old 1970 Hemi Cudas were traded at the Plymouth

dealer for one of these marvel's of modern engineering.

22. Posted Image

Six door funeral coach? This would have been a touchdown if it was RWD.

23. Posted Image

Oversized American Flag. We got lucky on this one, that's the very first time I ever

saw it there... Good eagle eyes Mr. O'Shea.

24. Posted Image

BUNKER HILL COMMUNITY COLLEGE Shazzaaaaam!

25. Posted Image

Civic "Mini-Minivan" Station Wagon riding on some super classy 17" rims.

26. Posted Image

Toyota Cressida 2nd gen. Basically a Camry with an inline-six & RWD.

If Toyota still made affordable sedans with RWD & inline-six motors

they would be about 1,000,000,000 times cooler than they really are.

You wanna see a brass-era Kissle-Kar race car? Bring $5 to the Larz

Anderson Automotive Museum in Brookline Mass and you will not

be dissapointed. There's only about a three dozen "vehicles" in their

collection right now but they are worth every penny of your $5.

28. Posted Image

Yes, that's right, it's a blood red STUTZ race car!

29. Posted Image

Renault Town Car (1912 IIRC)

I'd LOVE to buy & register this car and drive it exactly as is, except

with a BB 454 and T10 tranny. On a side note only the damn French

would mount the radiator BEHIND the motor.

30. Posted Image

French cars are worth 10 points, but this is not a 1991 Peugeot.

This however, was a Citroen (x10) and pre-war (x10) so it's a

cool 1000 points for this puppy.

31. Posted Image

This buckboard certainly was NOT "horseless drive".

32. Posted Image

I'd love to try riding one of these someday, but only if it involved wearing

a tuxedo, monacle & tophat while sporting an elaborate mustache.

33. Posted Image

One off prototype built in Wolfsburg by VW in 1972. This was to be a

sports car based on the RWD, air-cooled H4 powered Beetle design.

I guess it's the grandfather of the much less cool Scirroco & Corrado.

34. Posted Image

--- Posted Image

Back on the road here's a GMC Suburban DIESEL!

35. Posted Image

This poor Special has been crahsed, alowed to rust & daily driven in Boston.

How sad... no 1960s Buick should be subjected to this kind of abuse.

36. Posted Image

I wish my house had a giant fiberglass Cow's head on it.

37. Posted Image

There was a live dog inside the Excursion & the rear tilt out window

was flapping in the breeze like a white flag in Paris.

38. Posted Image

In Dorchester you have to be handi-capable to vote.

39. Posted Image

Accordion Bus!

40. Posted Image

Two door B-body? Baaam! x10 because it's in motion in the photograph? OH YEAH!

It's a car that should be driven by clowns in a circus, not on New England roads as a taxi.

I sure as hell would expect the fare to be damn cheap if my Taxi cab is a Scion!

The xB is the only semi-cool Scion though, cute as a button.

Who Knew Mrs. M. Cooper & Mr. C. Astrovan would make a good looking baby!?

Wow... no joke? Damn people in the early 20th century hated change huh?

Great story but still, placing the radiator there MAKES zero sense. Maybe in

the Yukon or Siberia it makes sense but not in France!
