It was a "bloody" battle between the two C6-R's and the two Aston Martin DBR9 for GT1 placement. Some great footage of these four cars batteling through much of the race.

silver car may be Saleen with the car two back from last Aston may be Maserati, no mistaking the Corvettes and Astons

Twas a great race...but there is no way Corvette Racing, Chevrolet, and both sets of drivers are going to lose this year. I'm really interested in seeing what happens next year and if the Astons can run more than 2 races.

Also, does anyone know if Ford is ever going to enter the GT into this series. I know technicly the Aston or Saleen can represent Ford, but I feel the series would gain more fans if they use an actual American Branded car to represent Ford in the American LMS. The may be American, but they really don't acknoledge Ford for much. Edited by quantum110

Well they are in Rolex Grand Am but Im sure you know that, so is GTO. I beleive Mustang and GTO would be in GT2 if in AMLS, correct ? Then they have big displacement engines and Im not sure if there is limits in GT2. Oh wait you are talking GT, duh, like GT (40), they should get that car in there, what a battle that would be. Corvette Aston Martin Maserati Saleen GT (40) Viper ? Lambroghini ? Maranello ? Would be just like the old days, how about a Jaguar. The Maserati was giving good chase too, that cars really showing some potential. How long can Corvette hold its pace and dominate. #3 Corvette failed, if #4 had problems it would have been Aston, Saleen, Maserati. Well Ill hope to see the competition getting stronger and the Corvette to continue to come out on top.
