Suzuki to debut Verona replacement at Frankfurt

Suzuki Motor Corp. plans to build a mid-sized car and sell it in North America and Europe.

The Japanese automaker will unveil a concept of the car at the Frankfurt auto show in September.

Suzuki Europe spokesman Axel Seegers said the car will be offered in a number of body styles, but he would not elaborate. Company sources say Suzuki plans a sedan, hatchback and station wagon.

Last year, Suzuki in the United States dropped the Verona, a mid-sized car assembled by GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co.

I was expecting it to just be the Epica with Suzuki badge on it, since the current car is the last gen Daewoo version of the Epica. So is it on it's own platform now or is it still based on the Epica?

We've seen it already, caught testing a while ago. Some guy who came from a Fusion forum thought it was the next Mazda 6. Expect the grille of the Grand Vitara crafted onto the Daewoo Tosca.
