CTSv Video of the 7.59 lap of the Green Hell is out

Recommended Posts

The video can be seen at Autoblog.com.

John makes a lap of the Ring look easy.

Please note the car is very smooth little drama in the tough corners.

The car is very quiet for a at speed lap.

The car is stock less the safety equipment.

John hits On Star at one point.

Finally please note this was an automatic not a standard shift car. So could the the standard shifter be faster yet?

Most likely not really.

I think on a 'Ring like that, with such high average speeds, a manual probably loses some of it's inherent speed advantages.

Plus, I'm assuming GM has REALLY dialed in the 6-speed auto for this application.......

This is AWESOME......and I'll be selling them at the Caddy store in Las Vegas that I'm moving to!!!!! I just wish I could anticipate making enough money to get one when the CTS lease is up....but I don't know if I'll be doing THAT good.....<ugh>
