I wonder if they had to use wheel-spacers to use those ZQ8 S-10 rims? I know some of the suspension components on the S-10 and G-Body were shared ...

No spacers. I used 2" drop spindles from Summit Racing. A fellow in Texas makes an adaptor to use Camaro LS1 brake rotors and calipers on the Monte spindles. So that's what I have on the front. At the rear, the car is stock with the factory 3.73 posi rear. The only hitch I ran into is that the ZQ8 wheels would not quite clear the center of the rear axle. Soooo close.... I just lightly clearanced the rears slightly (like about 1/32nd). If you are running stock Monte brakes/spindles, etc., you'll have to clear them also.

I really like the blazer wheels. Needed the 16" to clear the Camaro LS1 brakes.

ANGELA!

So cool to see you here!!!

ADDENDUM

(in case you haven't read the thread since I first posted this)

http://www.montecarloss.com/community/ubbt...380&page=22

Two years from the date Angela started the "epic" thread (September 19, 2007), Jerry's Monte Carlo returned to the dealership where Jerry bought it new for a car show (September 19, 2009) ... and won BEST 1980s car! Angela thought Jerry was "going to hop in the air and click his heels together" [a Ron Santo impersonation, perhaps?] when he got up to get his award!
