What Car is This?

I really want to say a '72 Imperial LeBaron by the steering wheel, wheels, and fender skirt, but the dash cluster and shifter tells me otherwise.
Knightsfan should be able to answer this one. The wheels are Chevy, probably Monte Carlo, but I' too lazy to get out my books tonight.
WSITD: 1972 Monte Carlo. Love the throtle style shifter.

That's it, Sixty8 and all this time I thought it was a 'LaSalle'......I have always like those shifters....it has a real nice feel when holding it....squeeze to release....very natural feel to it.

The early Montes still look good after all these years...timeless style.

Yeah, I knew this one. My mom's '72 Malibu had the same shifter. A guy she dated had a Burnt Orange '72 Monte Carlo with black top and black cloth bench interior. The first-gen is my favorite... followed by the '81-'87.

Of course we all know there was a very special car that got that shifter first before any Monte of Malibu: :P

A few from that era had them.....I wonder who was the first. I know that the '68 Ford Galaxie had it....the 70's AMX had it too...
