MALIBU AND MALIBU MAXX SS

I saw both today and I gotta admit, what a transformation! Its not sexy, but the sport interior in black, with chrome bits, the new front end, the ground effects and spoilers and especially the exhaust tips REALLY LOOK NICE.

too bad the wheels look horribly cheap.

Why wasn't this car here two years ago? Or for me, 4 months ago? I might actually take one of these over a Fusion.

Alas, still only pushrods under the hood and only a 4 speed auto. YEESH.

With the 3.6vvt or the upcoming 260hp turbo ecotec this car would be so sahwet for me. Especially with a 5 or 6 speed manual or manumatic.

AND BETTER WHEELS.

One was blue and one was black i think and both had the black interior. Very nice.

Its always so bad that it takes Chevy so long to make corrections like these.

The seats even looked nice!

I have not seen them on the road or dealer lots.

We've had a Maxx for months....but the Sedan, in the same electric blue, sold in about a week at full sticker...which is actually less than some of the LTZ's in stock...

IIRC, all 'bu SS's have the black interior....

I saw a blue sedan at the dealership a few weeks ago. I thought it was definately an improvement without the chrome crossbar, but I think there's still some styling features that still could be improved upon. The headlights for instance, why can't they be projectors? Another thing on my mind, for the sport oriented image that "SS" is trying to put out they should have put in the 6 speed manual rather than forcing buyers interested in a manual to the G6 GTP sedan.

too bad the wheels look horribly cheap.

That's what the aftermarket is for :AH-HA_wink:

I've seen one at a dealership somewhere in Middle-of-nowhere, CA. For some odd reason, I prefer it to the G6... it's happier.

YES!

the black interior with added glitz and the body work and tailpipe dress remind me of my favorite car I've owned.....

89 SHO

GM WHERE WERE YOU FOUR MONTHS AGO....ARRRGGGHHHHHHHH

agree.  it needs a stick and for me either the 3.6 of the upcoming ecotec DI turbo.

Ironically, a 5dr., 2.8 turbo, 6 speed sport sedan is just being made available at your local Saab dealership....for a mere $35k....

I'd settle for the 6 sp. and a Sky roof similar to the SRX's...the potential is clearly in the chassis make this a great buy at $25k...I guess if you wait a year, you'll be able to get the Saab in a CPO program for about that....

Actually, $32,620, which isn't bad, or $29,030 with European Delivery.

Wow. The wagon ??Is that fully optioned??? Not bad. I'm assuming with a subvented lease, that number drops even further?

I was thinking 2.8T wagon, with a moderate amount of options...$35.9K MSRP with Metallic Paint, Touring pkg, Cold pkg....I just checked the site...

31 w/incentives???? I think a $25k 2.0t might be more attractive....

according to carsdirect, an 06 Maxx SS with rear dvd and also power sunroof is about 24 g right now. my gm card topped off to 2k would get that down to around 22k. not bad. swap the 4 speed auto for a manual or a better auto and swap the motor for the 3.6 or ecotec turbo and WOO HOO cheap saab with more room!

WHY WASN'T THIS CAR OUT BEFORE NOW
