Grandma's 1989 Grand Marquis

Featured Replies

I had a '90 Grand Marquis. A $5 plastic retainer broke, locking up the trans while I was driving. Other than that, and the 15mpg pretty much no matter what I did, and the trans being super slow to shift, I liked the car. Super comfy land yacht.

Panthers are one of the best cheap, durable, reliable, and fairly roomy cars you can get.

You'd be hard pressed to find any car with a better cost-to-benefit ratio than this particular car. It is exactly the sort of car I have hunted for when cheap and reliable were the criteria for purchase.

Granny cars are the best bargain out there if you can stash your ego.
