I've Had Enough of DISH Network

Featured Replies

I have had a dish since December 2002 and the service went from around $37.95 to now up to $52.00 total with all the taxes and phony fees thrown in.

I live in Southeast Florida. What other cheaper alternatives exist for decent programming that includes kid channels, Turner Classic Movies, History, A&E, TNT, etc.

I understand that they have to start offering a la carte channels instead of loading up stupid channels that nobody watches.

DirecTV ?

No, I was suggesting DirecTV as an alternative to DISH Network. Plus, you can get Tivo with DirecTV. I know many people who swear by DirecTV.

I will look into it because these people have burned their bridges with me. Every time there is a thunderstorm the thing goes off for a short time.

Oh, you will have the same problem with DirecTV then, though maybe to a lesser degree. Satellites lose reception for a short while whenever weather gets bad.

I'd look at digital cable since T-storm reception is your problem.

I will stick with cable if this is what satallite does. Roadrunner works well.

cable or sat, they have you by the nuts. its why i don't have either, but i seem to have 45 bucks a month available for internet...HMMMM

either is running about 50 bucks a month seemingly. for basic. bend down and take it like a man, no matter where you get your tv, you'll end up taking it in the shorts.......
