Cheers or Jeers: 41,000 Mile 1941 Buick Super 2-Door 3-Passenger Businessman's Coupe

Factory Business Coupe Model

• 248ci Fireball Straight-8 w/dual carbs

• Carsbad Black over Tan • 100% Original Survivor!

• 41,100 Original Miles

With just over 2400 made, this ’41 Super is an incredibly rare factory Business Coupe model sporting just 41,100 original miles since new. Still in the original Carlsbad Black finish, this stunning example has impressive solid original body from top to bottom. Factory welds can be found all around, with perfectly solid lower sheet metal (a usual deterioration area); even the original frame-to-body mounts are exceptionally well preserved. Likewise, the finish remains deep and glossy while only showing minor signs of age. The truly stunning tan cloth interior is like new and looks as it did when it left the factory in ’41. Delicate wood-paneled trim adorns the dash and crystal clear gold on silver gauges are inset into eye catching diamond polished metal dash panels. Under the dash is as neat and clean as the rest of the car. The rear seat of this Business Coupe was removed in favor of extra storage space for the wares of the traveling salesman of the day. Equally impressive is the caliber of the mechanics on this special Buick. The clutch is smooth and easy to operate, a characteristic rarely found in vehicles of this vintage. The 248ci Fireball straight-8 dual carbureted engine is easy to start, requiring only a touch of the gas pedal and a flip of the ignition switch, as it settles into a quiet, buttery idle. An incredibly smooth shifting 3-speed transmission can be found residing on the column, making this Business Coupe a joy to drive with modern traffic on roads both rural or city. A ’41 Buick, a rare sight in itself, is even harder to find with the addition of the Business Coupe option. Many of these cars have been converted or modified into Rods or Lowriders. Finding an original is rare!
