I remember this going around in first year university about 5 years ago (damn I feel old now, thanks)

Haha....Rejected was up for an Academy Award in 2001 for Best Animated Short. Don Hertzfeldt is hilarious...some of his other works are on Google videos, too:

"Ah, L'Amour"

"Billy's Balloon"

"Lily & Jim (with subtitles!)"

"Intermission in the Third Dimension" (Taken from The Animation Show Vol. I)

He and Mike Judge have an annual project now called The Animation Show:The Animation Show
