  1. No offense, but I find the GTO interior to be very vanilla and generic. It's virtually symmetrical and just seems nondescript. The 9-3 has better materials by a little bit as you noted, but its design is much more expressive and memorable.
  2. Thanks, but I just know it since I stare at it everyday and this design is NOT growing on me at all. I have no idea if any Beta Taus are architects or not...in fact I have no clue what anyone's majors are besides mine and my two best friends within Theta Chi. No clue whatsoever.
  3. hahahahahahahahaha yes yes always blame ole Croc when a member goes incognito for a minute. Methinks some of y'all get kinda clingy/needy
  4. Disagree on the GTO, but the 2001 Aurora has the best overall design, ergonomics and execution of any GM vehicle of the past 3 decades. Including the 2006 model year. The GMT900s are good, but they don't even surpass it.
  5. My father has owned one DeVille from each generation since 1980 (OK...the 1990 was a Fleetwood, but same car). I have driven (and currently drive upon occasion) the 1980 Sedan de Ville (V6), 2000 DHS and 2006 DTS. I love the 1980 despite its lack of any sporting character whatsoever. The engine is a 6, so its floaty ride and handling is perfectly matched, making this the ideal boulevard cruiser...styling is also an A++. The 2000 DHS is the worst-handling of the 3. The power of the Northstar is there, but the driving dynamics are very poorly suited for the engine. It just is a bad combination of power and handling. The 2006 is a big improvement and is somewhat...dare I say it...sporty! This is with the Performance Package, but still...it is nice. Seats are great, too. Firm and nice bolsters, but comfortable. I'd say the 2006 is the best Deville ever, excepting of course the awkward styling. The front is the only good angle on this car, as the sides are too plump for the front styling and the rear is unfinished. What would have helped the 2006 immensely is a relocation of the license plate bracket and backup lights to the center of the trunklid. Adding rear fog lamps could have further cleaned up the look. Interior is fantastic, and the first Deville interior I actually like since well before I was born.
  6. That's not entirely true. Most people don't, but when looking at Tahoe buyers they sure do! That's why GM has kept the live axle instead of going to IRS...a significant portion of their buyers use it for towing purposes, so they did not want to leave them out in the cold. Most people who buy BOF SUVs really should buy unibody SUVs (or minivans...yuck) if they were meeting their needs and not just trying to be trendy. Problem is...no automaker has created a minivan that was fun to drive, and SUVs are generally characterized as being fun to drive...and in that aspect, no, a minivan would not suit their needs at all.
  7. Escalade is indeed the symbol of GM's truck dominance. I don't think you can call the GMT900 architecture "antiquated" when it is best in class or second-best in class in every comparo. If 900 is antiquated, what isn't?

Agreed. BMW has some of the best taillights in the business. Runners up include Volkswagen and Cadillac.
