  1. The Accord rear is what the GP should have looked like!!
  2. I'll be drunk at home with a few friends, possibly playing bartender for the parents and their friends since I apparently make the best. cosmopolitans. EVERRRR!!!11111* *As decided by several lifelong alcoholics who begged for my "secret recipe" after consuming them...and three refills.
  3. uhhhhhh Saturn isn't and won't be GM's "value leader"
  4. Yea, they do. The research has been posted elsewhere on this site recently. Also, you completely forget to take into account the different lighting requirements of EU v. US. In EU, there is a 30 degree cutoff required so that headlamps do not glare into oncoming drivers. I wish the US had this.

    The Stalk

Exactly...the cancel feature is useless IMO.
  6. Croc

    Holy crap

Goodness, what is wrong with you?? You are one sick, twisted SOB!!
  7. Croc

    The Stalk

No. You're missing my point. You can turn off cruise with The Stalk and just not have the memory that "cancel" would provide. My question is, is it that much effort to go up to 60 or whatever yourself and then turn cruise back on? Why is the memory "cancel" feature necessary? Seems like a lazy-ass thing to me...

    The Stalk

Actually, it is one of my favorite features. "Flash-to-Pass" is what it is technically called, and GM needs it across the lineup.
  9. SUVs are the best for driver visibility. You cannot convince me otherwise. Driving position is also much closer in them to a natural seating position.

    The Stalk

Doesn't look markedly worse than most cars of that era.

Cadillac has this. Has for a long time. I'll have to check, but I think the 1982 has it. That said, is it really that hard to just accelerate up to cruising speed and turn it on? I have a cancel function in the M-Class but I never use it.

    The Stalk

OK you just contradicted yourself (bold for emphasis): Now I don't know what Benz system you've used (top quote), but my headlights are not on the dash, now would I want them to be. They are a twist function on the end of the signal stalk. You literally turn the end of the stalk and it clicks out. You pull the stalk to flash brights. Signals work as they usually do. Keeps it handy and convenient, no need to take eyes off the road at all.

    The Stalk

Yea none of that has ever happened to me. How would you turn on wipers when making left turns? That's as ludicrous as suggesting one changes gears on right turns with a column shifter.
  14. I stopped reading your post after this...because you lost all credibility. Reg is not a cheerleader for the domestics. Never has been, never will be. Go back to Temple of VTec.

    The Stalk

They suck pretty badly. I like the setup in my M-Class. One stalk for lighting on the left. One stalk for wipers and washing on the right. Finally, there's one small, thin stalk for cruise control at about the 10 position behind the wheel. Easy, convenient, never take the eyes off the road. The one in my father's 2000 DHS is similar to the top one pictured, and it is horrible. I always have to look at it to figure out how to do the wipers/washer fluid. The ergonomics aren't even that great once you figure it out. Using the washer fluid is AWKWARD.
  16. BINGO
  17. I think the Milan, Montego, Mariner, Mountaineer, Monterey and Grand Marquis are quite a bit more competitive than the EV-1, thank you very much! Obviously GM as a company is more competitive than Mercury, a mere brand

6 years?? jeez you started when you were 10?? 11?? damn...thats hardcore
  19. No actually we gift exchanged late last night, and I got Miami Vice Season 2 on DVD...That put me in a much better mood, especially after watching The Prodigal Son. I think I can handle the rest of today without copius amounts of liquor now...and tonight will be spent with my favorite side of the family! EDIT: yea...that wasn't superficial-sounding
  20. Yeah don't go twisting it around to me, Paulie...There have been some words said to ensure that I will actually be getting people Christmas gifts next year, instead of being told: "you are getting this for ___, this for ___, and this for ___, so wrap it up and then do you want to give the ___ or the ___ to your father?" Believe me...I'm not the one making it superficial  --- My family is much less fucked up than they have turned our house into some sort of bed and breakfast for extended family that I am forced to be in very close contact as a result of some circumstances beyond my control. I just want some fucking peace and quiet for ONE DAY...I haven't gotten that since arriving home a week ago. Seriously...cant wait til New Year!

ok alcohol withdrawel shouldnt be causing the shakes....i def dont recall that in the alcohol unit of health class...if youre taking any other kind of substance, its that. i know heroin and cocaine can give people shakes, as can some forms of X........i mean i guess its possible it could be the alcohol, but i really think id remember something like that. good luck with it
  22. you don't have to deal with my family...
  23. I am not a fan of this holiday either...so superficial.

  25. They prolly skipped "I" because it would look like "3001" and not as much "300I" in many people's minds.
