  1. The beauty of free will is that you can't force us to refrain from participating, either :P
  2. ah, looks like I read too quickly...
  3. I think it would be pretty easy to cut yourself using that thing...seriously what's wrong with waxing and/or laser hair removal for unwanted back hair? I don't have to deal with it (thank goodness), but if I did, I'd prolly just get it waxed. No biggie. Also, wouldn't it be rather insulting to receive this for Xmas?
  4. Ascender is actually an Envoy clone, not TB clone.

    Word Of The Day

I see you've set aside time today to humiliate yourself in public, again. I don't even know why you are attempting this argument as it not only isn't backed by sales data, but doesn't even make logical sense. I'm pretty sure GM was building what people wanted when they axed the B-bodies in favor of SUVs at the Arlington plant since SUVs were experiencing annual sales growth in the hundreds of percents.
  7. Funny, not one review has complained about the Fusion interior.
  8. I have to agree. Civic did not deserve it at all, though.
  9. For real.

Looks nice. The rear was the only thing I ever disliked about the current generation, though.

Commentary on the audio clip: I am glad Amanda is taking initiative and going to a technical college to expand her skills. She is smart. I also like how the auto workers are recommending future generations go to college. Again, more skills make workers more versatile. I am very surprised that one of the workers agrees that the "gold-lined" benefits package is out of line for the industry and recognizes he is "very overpaid." It is refreshing to hear someone in this industry with an ounce of self-awareness. The people interviewed seemed to be intelligent, articulate, realistic and surprisingly NOT bitter about the whole situation. Overall, a very balanced piece. So, evok...let's discuss.

You don't know evok's opinions on this because he has yet to give them! This thread was about commenting on the interview. Your responses thus far are therefore off-topic. Why can't you listen to it? Don't have speakers?? I really don't see how responding to a provided audio clip requires private insider forums. All that is being asked is to refrain from commenting until you have listened. It seems simple to me: if you can't listen, don't comment. Clip works in Firefox. All that is required is Windows Media Player, something that has been pre-installed on every computer since 1998.
  13. That's absolutely laughable since there is almost NO difference between the two parties. Congratulations, you've bought into the great American myth. I think it's hilarious how many Americans confuse Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee with Yin and Yang.

For all the sales GM lost by cancelling the B-bodies they more than made up for with the GMT-800s.
  15. You Canucks are all the same...desperate attention whores! Pam Anderson is a Canuck...
  16. ...and you call yourself a GM fan!? FOR SHAME!
  17. Yes. IQs are significantly lower, they are just now starting to put their opposable thumbs to use. They speak this primitive form of English that involves adding this nasal "eh?" sound at the end of their sentences. They seem to be unable to directly answer questions and put a large emphasis on "feelings" so much that it impairs their ability to be honest. That said, Canadians generally are friendly and well-intending, though Americans should be advised that they are not to be trusted. ........and if anyone bought that load of crap they should be VERY embarrassed. Duh, cultural differences exist just like someone from the West Coast will feel like they are venturing into an unknown civilization when they travel to the Midwest and vice versa. Canadians are much like Americans, though they tend to be much more polite, spell certain words strangely, and have an odd accent in comparison. Canadians enjoy this place called Tim Horton's, have a special affinity for the Pontiac brand, like Hockey more than Football (I KNOW...WTF!?!?), and don't have their heads ten feet up their asses regarding politics.
  18. "Where are you at?" I think you just revealed some midwestern roots there, OC! Heh, in all seriousness, Fly's in Tampa.
  19. This thread is so ADD... I buy and wear lots of clothes...I enjoy looking nice, though I'm not too fussy about it.

  24. I know manufacturer-owned dealerships are out of the equation due to state franchise laws, but what do these laws actually say? Is it possible for a manufacturer to own and operate its dealerships if it buys up all of its franchisees?
