Just tried a new recipe I invented, and it was so good! I don't have a name for it, but here's what I did: 1. Boil water and cook pasta (I used wide egg noodles). 2. Cook ground beef (I used beef chorizo) in a skillet, season to taste, drain, and set aside. 3. Make a medium Béchamel sauce,* seasoned with freshly ground pepper, 2 bay leaves, and salt and nutmeg to taste. 5. Melt in 1/3 cup each of Queso Quesadilla, Queso Cojita, and Queso Asadero to make a Mexican Mornay sauce. 6. Combine the cooked, seasoned ground beef with the Mornay sauce. 7. Drain the pasta and toss with 1/2 cup Crema Mexicana. 8. Serve by topping each bowl of pasta with a helping of sauce. *Béchamel Sauce 3a. Make a Golden Roux by melting 2 Tb butter in a saucepan and whisking in 2 Tb flour, continuing to whisk the mixture for a few minutes until it turns a golden yellow. 3b. Slowly whisk in 1 cup milk and cook until thick, stirring constantly, to create a classic medium Béchamel sauce.

Saturn's attempt? What, you mean bringing the outgoing Astra to the States as a new model, a badge-engineered version of the Opel GT/Pontiac Solstice (not enough segment room for two from the same company), and an Antara/VUE released just months prior to the shutter? I don't really recall a real attempt to bring actual Euro vehicles to the US via Saturn, since promises and IOUs don't count in the real world. I mean, I know what Ford is trying to do; they are trying to unify the global Ford brand. The problem that I see, however, is that the Ford brand will now house such a wide market, from very upscale Tauruses and F-150s to such tiny, entry-level vehicles as Fiestas and Focuses. Ford has their work cut out for them if they want to keep and attract both budget and mainstream premium buyers in the brand, while it would have been IMO a whole hell of a lot easier to bring the premium entries to Mercury. Ford just didn't differentiate Ford brand and Mercury; the only differences were cosmetic. Had the Mercury companions featured some exclusive options, different tuning, different engines, and a higher base price, then I think it could have worked. Thing is, when you have two brands selling identical vehicles with identical prices, buyers go to the brand with more advertising and dealership ubiquity. I wish Ford the best, but I think they've made the wrong call here and have wasted a potentially lucrative opportunity with the Mercury brand. Having no image is far different than having to rehabilitate a poor image, and Ford could have done whatever it wanted to Mercury to establish it as a brand with a new market position that filled whatever product gap the company perceives it needs to fill.

Because Ford had been signaling in recent years that this was the plan; Euro Fords were considered to be too expensive to import, hence giving them to Mercury and justifying the "premium" market positioning.

Trust me, you can have as large a garage as you could possibly dream of...it just costs $$$ in upgrades/customization.
-
A lot of attached garages built in the latter part of the 20th century through to the present include extra space for storage and/or a workbench, too. I'd rather have one. Of course, anything that results in more square footage to the main dwelling increases insurance, so that's not a big disadvantage. So does having a pool, but those sure are nice.
-
I think the parked Ford one is pretty serious...there are a LOT of split-level homes with bedrooms over attached garages, especially in regions with really high land values (space efficiency) or cold winter weather (Midwest). Whether or not anyone actually died is relevant, but really the property damage and displacement would be just as devastating in some cases. I also don't know of many single-family homes equipped with sprinkler systems...
-
Sure? Maybe I'm crossing them in my head, but I thought that it was that when the car was turned off, current was still supplied to a faulty cruise control switch which could overheat and catch on fire. I could be wrong, but that's what I'm thinking...I'd look it up, but I'm about to head out on errands.

Way cooler than rollerblades:
-
No, they waited until they were parked in attached garages to burst into flames.

The only fast food I eat when I'm not stuck in an airport is of the local chain variety. Think Habit Burger, In-N-Out, Fatburger (started locally), etc.
-
5-10 minutes by car, 35 minutes by bus at Location A; Location B is 25 minutes by car, 80 minutes by transit (25 is walking to the damn station). Now in your case, look at how much you'll be getting paid and decide if it's worth it...then decide if you want the job. And then begin the search for housing that is closer to your work.

I'm with you on the airplane/ginger ale connection. McDonald's and airports is another one. Beef jerky and road trips.
-
I'm a big fan of Ballpark all-beef.
-
Welp, did my part to end the red...time for someone else to step up and finish the job.

Now that the last PowerPoint of my academic career is finally finished, I think I'll drive up to Tommy's and get one of those awesome chili cheese dogs!! Only 4.5 hours until I give the presentation...yeah, no sleep 'til Brooklyn over here.
-
Nothing like an Original Tommy's Chili Cheese Dog!!
-
Um, no. There is no need to go to small claims immediately, usually just stopping and exchanging information at the time of the incident would suffice...but as I said, if there wasn't a stop and exchange, then it's too late for that.
-
Did you stop, exchange information, etc.? He should be paying for this. If you didn't stop, it's too late now...

Beijing 2010: Chevrolet Volt MPV5 crossover revealed
Croc replied to NINETY EIGHT REGENCY's topic in Beijing Motor Show
This is yet another reason I will be convinced that the Volt should have been named Lumina--now available in MPV!! LOL -
I've just noticed decreased appetite. My main weight loss was from ECA Stack. The bottle I got from Rite Aid is 100mg, take it twice daily, looks like the following (but 100mg): http://www.amazon.com/5-HTP-100mg-Time-Release-tab/dp/B001JD9DMI/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1271741223&sr=8-5

Good to know. I always have low blood pressure, which is both surprising and fortuitous since I smoke.
-
It can be done over a few months, depending on how you go about it. Start now, and you could be there by autumn.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5-HTP I did not begin taking it for the appetite control properties, but saw that on the non-FDA-approved uses listed on the bottle (herbal supplements are NOT evaluated by the FDA, usually). Anecdotally, it seems to work decently in that capacity as well. I'm happy that it seems to assist in that capacity as I am currently cycling off of the ECA stack for the rest of this week. I was at 180 on 20 March, and now I am at 165. I have not been busting my ass at the gym, either, just walking to class and around the neighborhood a little bit. Try it, but again I am not a doctor or anything. It seems to work well, and my mood stabilized within a few days of beginning to take it. Last week was ROUGH, so I'm doing much better now, and no sluggishness or any side effects to report other than a decreased appetite. I got your meaning.
-
Let me Google that for you.

5-HTP is a great herbal anti-depressant. It also helps with appetite control. Find it in the herbal supplement section of your local pharmacy. Also, if anyone wants the "recipe" to recreate the original ECA stack fat burner that worked so well please PM me. I can tell you personally that YES it works--eliminates your appetite almost completely while providing so much energy it's ridiculous.
