  1. Heh, I'm not worried about this one bit. Even if, and it's a big if, this goes into effect, people will hate it and create a ballot initiative to ban it and it will then be banned.

    Not really familiar with Kentucky?

Nah, we just like to save the good, fancy stuff for wiping our asses in the bathroom.
  4. That little duck quack at the end of the Dawn Dishwashing Soap commercial.

    Toy Story 3

Shrek 3 is a few years old...you sure she doesn't want to see Shrek 4? Shrek 3 was pretty damn forgettable...

    Congrats! Welcome to Disturbia!!
  7. Almost went with that one, but that seems to be the topic of the thread +1
  8. Perpetual victims.
  9. Agreed. Corey, can you even get a rental? Laws vary, but I thought it was 25 to rent a car??
  10. I don't really understand this part...like the police were one car behind you and arrived IMMEDIATELY at the scene, swooped in and seized everyone's licenses, insurance cards, and registrations before anyone could trade information? Because that's the first thing you do: trade information. Licenses, insurance cards, etc. Call up the police and get that info, or call up your agent like stat and give them the name of the other guy, so the onus is on him to provide the info of his insurance.

    hookah

Yes, but look at what it says (bolded parts) Smoking cigarettes...that's throughout the day. Anywhere between 10 and 30, sometimes more if someone is super addicted. Hookah...I've never known anyone to do it more than once or twice a day...and even then it's only done maybe 5 times a week? Usually for 45-60 minutes, and never alone. It's definitely safer, and it definitely removes a lot of tar. Anyone who has ever cleaned out a hookah can attest to that. Many brands of tobacco also do not contain much if any nicotine. It really is safer, especially given that the recent Pakistani study came to this conclusion while (IMO...can't speak to other cultures and countries) the usage was 2-3 times what I think is normal or average.

    hookah

Hookah has been around for a very, very long time. Its roots are Persian, and many people around the world enjoy it. It's definitely safer than cigars or cigarettes; it's a water bong, essentially, and it isn't something most people do every day--tends to be reserved for social situations with a group of people.

Is that what it takes to make yourself feel superior to others?

Hookah has been a big part of my life for the last 6 years. Ohhhhh college...
  15. Love my 64-bit Windows 7. Studio 16 laptop here, and I had to order the free upgrade disc to get Windows 7. Clean wipe upgrade, though. Some of the drivers were a pain to upgrade, but that's because Dell's support site interface blows. 9 months later and I still love this laptop. The Snippet tool, the drag-and-drop window orientation feature (left half, right half, full screen), and the plug-and-play hardware/driver support are some of the best features, IMO.
  16. They are GOOD. Been a fan for years. Lewis Martinee is one of my favorite music producers of the decade, both from his work with Expose as well as the album he produced for the Pet Shop Boys.
  17. Saw a 90s B-body Caprice wagon the other day. Made me think of this thread.
  18. Schweppes definitely makes the best mainstream tonic water. I also prefer Bombay, but my mother prefers Beefeater. The nice thing about gin is so many people do not like it, so if it's a BYOB-type thing, I can almost always guarantee I will be well-liquored if I bring gin. Not a huge martini fan either, but I will drink the occasional gin + vermouth martini with olive. Vodka martinis are just...wrong to me for some reason. A martini glass does not a martini make. Love the bourbon, can do scotch but not my favorite. Bourbon, when not mixed, must be room temperature for me...so much smoother than chilled. Not a big marg fan, but I'm with you on the Golden Cadillac--those are quite the indulgence. I'll enjoy some occasionally, but not very frequently at all. Usually when that's all there is. Not a malt liquor or beer drinker, though if in the right mood a good beer does hit the spot. I prefer my beers to be a little sweeter than average. Agreed. Love white wine and champagne, but a good, smooth red is nice as well. Barefoot makes great champagne that's cost-effective, and their Brut Cuvée is pretty good, especially with some Simply Orange for a mimosa. Yellowtail makes good whites. I'm also a fan of Sangria.
  19. Never heard of that chain. Best Long Island (and strong) is the Hard Rock Cafe in Georgetown, Grand Cayman. Huge Jack & Cola (I prefer RC or Pepsi Throwback) fan here...ever try the Jack Daniels Single Barrel? You'll never go back to regular Jack again...
  20. I, too, love G&T...but my favorite will always be the Long Island Ice Tea. I rarely drink them these days because very few can make them well, but nothing gets me more satisfyingly wasted than a couple of those at a good bar.
