  1. if it's not problems with your Service Provider, i'd run a scan for spyware and viruses using IE or something else like firefox? spyware i use - spybot search and destroy antivirus i use - antivir --free, german company makes it
  2. is the display abouve the center vents some thing like OEL tech?.... intruments need toned down from the pics...hard to say what they'd be like in life. overall interior A, not A+ mainly cause of the odd intruments
  3. not laughing at the hp number, but i wonder what kinda of # gm could get w/ the 5.3 supercharged...now that'd be a hp war. oh and, yeah, nice..but i've lost interest in the mustangs w/i a year after they updated the body...never liked the last gen either lol
  4. oh...the roof line looks porsche... 911 targa top? from the rear
  5. reminds me of a crossfire (rear) and the ford contour.....mostly ugly..doors are kinda cool.....'bout it though
  6. i was going to say that is a durango and a maxx had a get together and this little guy came out later....lol eh..not to my likes...but what car is built that never sells?...(in the last 10 years) saying this just incase there are things that didn't sell longer ago than that :P
  7. nobody mentioned a missing b-pillar.... the true hardtop coupe as some of you've put it. but...damn, looks nice hopefully the v6 would even have a 6speed option...w/ what...260hp? hopefully they are further than the media thinks they are at producing it. (insert a sinister smiley, or a spy smiley) lol and if the 6.0L was the ss / z/28 option..it'd be the same one they put in the gto...6k redline instead of the ...? (not sure w/o looking) 6500 redline of the corvette ls2
  8. you use anything like adblock?... i'm a firefox user also... back on topic.... the burb looks better to me, not a big fan of the bigger envoy look
  9. i'd agree ven, interior's nice, but the exterior ...well , doesn't seem to have much "distinctness" edit: the rear is hardly nice
  10. i did push the numbers up just alittle , see what reactions it would cause. not tring to be an @ss about it though
  11. just curoius what every one thinks the most power N/A the 3.5 and 3.9 could do with things like direct injection, 3v, "performance breathing"? mine- 3.5L - 270hp 250lbft 3.9L - 310hp 270lbft
  12. yellow does make the chrome stick out in an odd way...not sure if i like it. H.E. I like that pic of the dark blue, but the dark red reflection made me think a..hm.."blood red metalic" could look pretty damn good too

    Who visits C&G?

    would this be a 3.5 or 3.9L v6? be interesting with a 3.9L w/ 280ish hp and a 6speed, any speculation?

    "Chapter 5"

couple ideas. ---- ok more than a couple... -- for a transition to not seeing the 5thgen play some days go by by dirty vegas, yes i know it was used for a mitsu comercia,(right?).... ---i feel loved by depeche mode----guy walks out at night to his garage after hearing welding/ reving/ the music playing....and he starts to open the door and A: show the car ready to go B: it's just a teaser for when the real comercial is made---Camaro, "ponies, I'm home" (yeah it's cheasy...so?! ) c: something else? ...comes burning rubber out the garage? ---are you in - by incubus---- parked camaro on the street and this is playing as lots of people walk past and finds someone and drives beside the person as he/she walks --reminds of----the dog that wants to go play? hm...maybe something else for the song now that i think about it... ^_^ ---Somewhere Out There by Our Lady Peace for the 5th gen part.... :AH-HA_wink: oooohhh!!! first 10ish seconds of my wave by sound garden...guitar rifts and then he goes "YEAH!" and then you could fade out... "American revolution" anyone like any of these ideas?
  15. as a general rule they could keep the compression up a little for a turbo since it's not boosted all the time... s/c usually requires a lessening of the compression because of the near constant boost i'm sure most of you knew that though, being car guys. those #'s are definatly nothing to take litely if it's your competition ....just don't brag about it when a gto or corvette pull up beside you
  16. this looks tons better than the body it's replacing. for it's class i hope this sells well and actually sells for some profit. eh hem...red tag sales and such :) :P
  17. to bad buick didn't just get the shortstar (3.5) from Olds a few years ago ..at least as an option...but it is underpowered compared to 3.6 now. edit: i did think of making this a topic a few days ago.
  18. looks like the driver would've been safe though....of the corvette....other than maybe whiplash...?
  19. http://livescience.com/environment/050930_sun_effect.html this wasn't the one i saw but says the same basic thing
  20. thermodepolemerization (sp?) i should know how to spell that. lol http://www.changingworldtech.com/ an article in discover said that if all the waste in the country went through that process we could make at least 90% of all the oil we needfor today's needs....maybe less than that in 10 years? but the main point about this is that The U.S. could most likely be self sufficient as far as oil production. and the other big + is that if they made enough plants to do this, they might beable to sell it as cheaply as $5 a barrel. when that happend last..i have no idea. but even if they taxed the hell out of it and made a gallon like $1.50 (just guessing) the government would have tons of extra income. and it might even stop the "humans are causing a global warming" theories just a side note on "global warming"...scientists are seeing warming on other planets also, like mars, estimating the sun to be warmer, and might be responsible for 10-30% of the "global warming" here. i might beable to find that link again, found it on digg.com
  21. not bashing the idea at all, but when was the last time buick actually produced an all new car that was actually close to the concept. anyone know? buick just doesn't have the recent track record for keeping at a concept to make it produced, but i'd love to see something very close to it actually made in the next 5 years.
  22. a friend's uncle had a late 80's caprice(friend drove it while uncle was in middle east) that kinda did the same thing....had to replace a control module i believe.... i'll ask him nexty time i see him, and try to be more precise w/ my answer. maybe that'll help. oh, and if it was related or not..it happened when it was slightly warm outside...august i believe. living in SE missouri
  23. when will the "other guys" start using this standard for engine ratings, and do you think that it would have any effect on what buyers would look for....an SAE rated car vs. and non SAE rated car? one more condition on that, since GM is the only one doing it, (right now, right?) how will it effect things after a few more brands use this standard. one way this could be usefull is if you the powercurves on the performance models and over lay them with the competitions power curves. this make sense? sorry if it doesn't.
