  1. It must've been the fully loaded Grand Touring model. Those are ones that nudge $40k. The Z Roadster looks good with the top down; top up, not so much... The coupe is more to my liking.
  2. Spied: 2008 Honda Civic Type R The new Honda Civic hatch sold in Europe will be receiving a Type R version (as always) for the 2008 model year. Primed to do battle with the likes of the GTI, it will likely use the same powerplant that is in our (better-looking) Civic Si: the 2.0L, 197-hp four-banger. Read "2008 Civic Type R lives" @ Edmunds
  3. Honda Loses Insight; Relays Future Hybrid Insight Honda has announced they are dropping the Insight hybrid. It's just as well as it's pretty much the most impractical hybrid ever made. A compact, two-setaer whose only goal is to save gas and to hell with anything else doesn't seem to have a wide appeal. Production ends in Septemeber and it's replacement will not appear until 2009. 4. GM Initiates the "Arlington Project" Mark LaNeve, GM's head guy in sales and marketing, discusses a new GM marketing initive dubbed the "Arlington Project". The project seeks to reach target markets that are more in tune with local media outlets rather than national ones that have panned GM. GM seeks to extol the virtues of their products in these markets and become more aggresive in doing so. Read "New GM project targets U.S. cities" @ The Detroit News
  5. Well, you can't exactly ignore the past and people are going to discuss it regardless. I think it'd be best to give them a specific place to do so.
  6. I have two suggestions for forum additions that I think will better organize C&G. First, the some of the brands in the GM Family have current and future model/plan subsections. I think we need to add a subsection for past models for each brand since there's really not an "appropriate" place to put threads about them. Currently, they're being posted in the current model sections. I think it will better organize things. Second, I've noticed there's been an increase in the amount of video links being posted. I think there should be a separate forum section to post these to reduce the amount of clutter in other sections of the forum. Any thoughts?
  7. Looks like the G6 convertible is running away with in the polls. I don't think it's going to be the G5. There's nothing particularly impressive about that car.

  10. The Lienerts are Big Pimpin' in the Escalade As you probably gleaned from the thread title and placement, the featured Lienert/Detroit News review this week is of the 2007 Cadillac Escalade. In case you're wondering, yes, the first words out of their mouths are "gas-guzzling SUV". To read the words that follow: Read "Cadillac Escalade tanks up on power" @ The Detroit News
  11. Last Sundays. Series 8, Episode 2.
  12. My new avatar, courtesy of Top Gear.
  13. Somebody failed Latin. "Sans" = "without". Without AWD. :AH-HA_wink: It'd be doing that side-to-side torque transfer trick to the front wheels only. Think Prelude SH.
  14. Ford MKR: Another addition to the Lincoln line. GM DTS-L: Stretched DTSes may not just be for the President anymore. DCX Breeze: The former name of the Plymouth Dodge Stratus/Chrysler Cirrus clone. What could it potentially be coming back as? Avenger: We know about this. Tomahawk: Remember that crazy four-wheeled motorcycle with a Viper engine? Are they seriously building that?? CLC/-Class: Yet another Mercedes. A CL convertible?
  15. Yes, the Trademark thread has made a grand resurrection with some new names. Nissan FX50: More evidence of a new V8 in future Infinitis. Almera: This is the name of a Nissan sold in overseas markets. It's a Sentra-sized five-door hatchback. Could the next generation be coming here? Epix: Sounds like a concept car name. Toyota Auris: ? Honda SH-TEC: My guess is this is Acura's Super Handling AWD sans the AWD.
  16. Mark Phlean Drives the Camaro And what does Mister Phlean have to say after 40 minutes of seat time? "Build it." For more details... Read "MARK PHELAN: Exclusive Camaro test drive" @ Detroit Free Press
  17. Um, if it's so perilious, how about you not try to illegally enter the country? I don't know why people are fighting against opposition to those who are by definition (illegal immigrants) breaking the law.
  18. Looking for Country Kitchen Buffet, of course. Oh, no?? :AH-HA_wink:
  19. Challenger Production Not Definite Yet It should be noted Edmunds stole my title idea. Bastards. Anyway, Chevy's not the only one who's holding off on a firm decision on making a popular concept a production reality. DCX has stated that contrary to rumors of the opposite, Dodge has not taken a stand on reviving the Challenger. They say they are still evaluating the business case and the car has not received the official green light. Put your tongues back in your mouths for now, Mopar guys. Read "Dodge Challenges Reports of Challenger Production" @ Edmunds
  20. "Pontiac, you're hired (again)." The Pontiac is hooking up with the Donald once again. At this point, details are scarce but word is it's a charity-related event occuring during the Apprentice season finale. More will be revealed on May 29. Read "Pontiac Hooks Up With The Donald Again" @ Edmunds
  21. Saw a new, beige Kia Rio... It wasn't exactly a thrilling day.
  22. UAW Authorizes Strike Aganist Delphi The pressure continues to build. Over 95% of the union members approved this strike which gives them more leverage in their struggle with Delphi. Read "Union Authorizes Strike Against Delphi" @ Yahoo
  23. Nope, that was the end.
