  1. Personally, I don't care for the LaCrosse or Accord, the Impala's a bit boring for my tastes (unless we're talking SS) and far as the Milan goes, I'd just rather a Fusion. So that leaves the Aura and Altima. -I like the exterior styling of both (Altima moreso). -The interior...they both have their good and not-so-good points. -The standard V6 in the Aura is a plus and I'd rather have a V6 Altima as opposed to a four-banger one (especially with 265hp). Basically, I suggest you test drive both and see what you prefer. They're both good choices.

  3. 2,000 posts = time for a new avatar/sig. But...is there a reason why my avatar is being stretched to 90x90? My original file's dimensions were within the restrictions.
  4. Note when they say "twice as many", they mean twice as many as a whole corporation (including Lexus). With the coming LS600h, that would translate to 12 hybrid models. The article says Toyota has seven but they only have five for sale plus the upcoming LS.
  5. Well, that's why I'm asking. I don't remember. I could've sworn I heard the 3400 was trouble-prone.
  6. The 3.4 is the one with the headgasket issues, no?
  7. Looks a lot less cheap but what's up with the purple wood? The addition of NAV was a good move.
  8. What's your price range?
  9. A.K.A. silver painted plastic? On the Lucerne, I can't see that looking good on anything but a gray or black interior.
  10. I'm a big fan of DSG so I like this idea. I can see prices increasing as a result, though.
  11. Mmmm...never seen one in black. Much better-looking than the new Silverado. It's my favorite domestic pickup.
  12. Taking another look at it, the interior looks a lot more like the new ES350 now.
  13. S&P May Downgrade GM Even Further Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said Tuesday it will keep General Motors Corp.'s debt ratings on review for a possible downgrade, despite an announcement of buyouts at Delphi Corp. Read "S&P Keeps GM on Review for Downgrade" @ Yahoo
  14. Of course it's an improvement. Good God, what wouldn't be over this? Not terrible but not good enough for the class.
  15. Update: There are new shots out. Once again camo-free and this time there is no major computer enhancement. Everything you see should be what the CL will look like in showrooms Read "Spy photos: 2008 Mercedes Benz CL coupe" @ Edmunds Straightline
  16. New ES350 Leaves Lienert Cold It would seem those robots in the new ES350 commercials were more enthused with it than one of the Lienerts was. (It isn't clear which Lienert wrote this preview because it is credited to both of them but clearly one person wrote it. Since Anita usually does the solo act, I'll assume it's her.) She called it comfortable and competent but it wasn't something she got excited over. Read "Uninspired, costly Lexus ES 350 fails to impress" @ The Detroit News
  17. The Caliber SRT4 is.
  18. Another Recall for the Grand Cherokee Chrysler is recalling 131,000 2000-2002 Jeep Grand Cherokees because of a defective engine fan. The blades on the cooling fan may fly off and injure anyone near. This is the second Grand Cherokee recall this week. On Monday, a recall for 111,600 2003-2004 GC's was issued because the front seats may catch fire. Couple that with the call for an investigation into Grand Cherokees for sudden acceleration issues and it seems like this is a pretty bad week for Jeep and their Grand Cherokee buyers. 19. This is the original article of the man that was killed when a Cherokee exiting a car wash hit him: North Haven Man Dies In Car Wash Accident POSTED: 9:42 am EST February 20, 2006 HAMDEN, Conn. -- A 52-year-old man died Sunday when he was struck by a sport utility vehicle as it was coming out of a car wash building. A police representative said Christopher Buonocore, of North Haven, Conn., was standing near his Cadillac outside the building when a Jeep that was exiting the car wash struck him and a worker at the Splash Car Wash. The man died at Yale-New Haven Hospital, police said. The worker, Saul Castaneda, 20, of New Haven, Conn., was in stable condition at the hospital and was expected to recover. Authorities said the accident happened when another car wash worker, Juan Cosett, 53, of Hamden, was pulling the Jeep away from the building after it had been washed. Three parked vehicles were also damaged. Police were investigating.
  20. CT Wants Investigation into Grand Cherokees The state of Connecticut wants the feds to launch an investigation of late model Jeep Grand Cherokees and unintended acceleration. There have been several reports of Cherokees suddenly accelerating when put into drive from neutral at car washes. This issue was likely responsible for the death of one Connecticut man. GMI

Yeah, sorry...that's my department and I have been behind as of late. From here on, I'm going to work harder at getting news up. I'll be damned if those GMI guys show me up.
  23. The center stack is still blah.
  24. That's really too large, capriceman.
