  1. The Buick Zeta is the upcoming GM car I am looking most forward to. I might like to buy one just before CAFE gets too restrictive. I hope that a version will be available with GM's excellent OHV V8.
  2. I would probably take the Outlook away and add an Aura wagon and a car smaller than the Astra to the lineup.
  3. Obviously the Lucerne line needs to be replaced with a new Zeta platform car. Under no circumstances should the next Lucerne be on a super stretched Epsilon II - just kill the car instead.
  4. I am mostly a fan of the 1960's and 1970's Pontiacs with big V8's. I can see why Pontiac fans want an Alpha platform family of cars, but I don't know whether GM could make a profit on such cars.
  5. I wasn't referring to Pontiac's current lineup, I was referring to the rumor that the next G6 will be an Epsilon II Malibu rebadge.
  6. Obviously the STS/DTS. Eventually all Escalades are going to have to either be hybrids or diesels or maybe both.
  7. ZL-1 is informed enough to know that GM can't afford to give Pontiac anything more than Holdens and rebadges of cars from other brands. I, with my simple mind, know enough that Vauxhall is nothing more than Opels for the British market. I also wonder if GM was wise in spending all this money the last few years on Saturn.
  8. I enjoy reading ZL-1's opinions on these issues because he's smart and more objective than we Americans are.
  9. It would be a nice idea, but I don't the credibility of the poster of the information.
  10. I have read on other boards that GM will keep the Impala FWD, but is still considering a lower volume Chevrolet Zeta sedan based on the G8.
  11. I wish that market conditions were such that GM could expand Pontiac's lineup, but I think 5 years from now, Pontiac will consist strictly of the G6 (rebadged Epsilon II Malibu), Alpha based coupe, Solstice, and maybe the Vibe.
  12. When I think of Fiesta, I think of the 1978 to 1980 version, not the Festiva. The first Fiesta was a very decent small car for its time. With 35 mpg CAFE, a large percentage of car buyers are going to have to shift to cars like this in the coming years.
  13. The Fiesta is definitely coming to the U.S., but probably only as a sedan.
  14. Evok, AH-HA, and now PCS - more people with wisdom and knowledge about the industry have left. At least the griffon, ZL-1, and Toyota.vs.GM are still here.
  15. I wouldn't be surprised if the idea from several months ago of Jeep being the SUV brand, Chrysler being the car, crossover, and minivan brand, and Dodge primarily being the pickup truck brand with a few high performance cars becomes reality.
  16. I would only want a Camaro, Mustang, or Challenger with a V8. I don't see the point of these cars without it.
  17. I don't. Cadillac can just offer strictly diesel and/or hybrid Escalades. Maybe even a hybrid diesel Escalade that gets over 30 mpg.
  18. You're the closest thing to an insider left here, since some people made Evok mad.
  19. Sad that he and Brad Renfro have died recently.
  20. But it appears that PCS is the voice of fact.
  21. Won't there still be the Cadillac and Buick Zetas? Surely the CTS won't be the biggest Cadillac, and the Epsilon II LaCrosse won't be the biggest Buick sedan.
  22. I would not be surprised to see Ford develop a Ecoboost 3 cylinder engine for the Fiesta/Verve or even the Focus.
  23. Innocent until proven guilty only applies for criminal investigations. 99.9 percent of IRS audits are civil matters, and the law puts the burden of proof upon taxpayers to substantiate the items on their tax returns.
  24. How much would this cost?
  25. Ron Paul at 59 percent and Barack Obama at 55 percent. This confirms what I plan to do anyway - vote for Paul in the GOP primary and vote for Obama against any of the likely Republican nominess.
