@oldshurst442 @riviera74 I am working to finish a project before Labor Day, so no time to search for this, but did Mercedes actually really build a truck off the Nissan Bones and sell it? I thought the Mercedes Badged Nissan Truck was only shown off in concept form and never went into mass production is how I remember it, but I could be wrong, so asking for clarification if they actually tried to badge engineer a truck sold at retail?

Interesting, course the Diesel engines are offline due to the chip shortage, so right now none being built. Understandable that they would simplify their order guide, but I do have to wonder how the next 12 to 18 months will play out as they work on their BEV's and still try to build and sell auto's. Many of us do not care for the auto start/stop or cylinder deactivation, so having those pulled for the 2022 year till chip supply gets going again, I doubt will be missed, but I do have to wonder about other things that go away for now due to the chip shortage.

Where is Mercedes (the Best Luxury Auto Company in the World according to you) Pickup let alone the 5 to 6 EV's in both car and CUV platform that you are talking about!

All Chevrolet Bolt and Bolt EUV have had production suspended initially due to the Chip Shortage, but clearly the fact that all Bolts including the Generation 2 Bolt and Bolt EUV are to be recalled for new battery packs and controllers awaiting LG ability to fix the problem with the battery packs and ship replacement packs for 142,000 existing auto's and then enough to begin assembly again. This goes in the same category of NOT buying a used auto from Canada or Midwest to east coast for me due to the hard corrosive salty winters. Tesla never engineered their auto's for going through deep water unlike Rivian. I would NOT want one of these used as they are not sealed for it. Just because a person drive through water and the auto at that time continues to operate does not mean it was engineered for it. I know many people would drive and bounce their VW bug through deep water, and the auto was still running, but that does not mean it was properly engineered for it. Rivian did, I have yet to see anything from Tesla that confirms they can drive through deep water with no problems or leaking inside the cab. All these videos show is people driving their car in dangerous deep waters that for sure would stall out an ICE car. Yes the third & Fourth video says that in China they take the Model 3 and Tesla Y and test it via 2ft of water, but that is for China and nothing about the US market. Nor does Tesla talk about being able to go through deep water.

Wrong, The union workers from Engineering to assembly line is why they have to charge 3 times as much and are not able to accomplish what the corvette can do. I would question that considering how few CUVs are on used sites for sale compared to the cars. ISEECARS and AUTOTRADER have thousands of the cars for sale compared to SUV/CUVs for sale on Porsche All of which can be changed by just one auto in a flash. Ford changing their image / legacy / enthusiasts by the Cobra and Le Mans and now the Mach-e. Who knows what can happen with a RWD/AWD Vette BEV or SUV BEV.
