Pricing for all configurations start at $43,295 and go up to $52,690. Expanded details are available on Fleet Home Page (ford.com) Ford used more than 30 million miles of Ford Telematics data in confirming that the average commercial vans in North America only drive 74 miles a day. @ccap41 @ykX Agree with both of you on the valid points you make. Right now not much to offer even by Tesla. These are the last 2 somewhat sporty 4 door sedans. -
Electrify America has released that they will have 800 Ultra-Fast charging stations with 3,500 fast charging connections by early 2022 covering 47 states and the District of Columbia. Currently Electrify America is working on new Ultra-Fast charging stations in Hawaii, South Dakota, Wyoming and Vermont that will complete the 47 states. Electrify America says they are also opening additional stations in Montana, Minnesota and New Hampshire, states with a small EV charging network presence. States that have passed legislature such as Washington state which starting in 2030 will ban the sale of new ICE auto's will have significant expansion of Ultra-Fast charging stations. Electrify America Ultra-Fast Charging Stations support 150 kW charging which adds 7.5 miles of battery per minute for capable BEVs in metro stations and highway locations that support up to 350 kW chargers which add 23 miles of battery per minute. Select stations will have solar panel canopies that not only give shade to customers while charging but help to minimize the impact on the local electrical grid via a battery storage system. Industry News: Rental Car Companies Are Buying Up Used Cars
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
OUCH, this is gonna suck for those that do risk going on vacation and need to rent an auto. For myself and family, other than local road trips away from society in our own auto's we will not be going anywhere till maybe late 2022 or 2023. Vacation is not worth ones life. -
Citroen is returning to the US this year but in a car sharing platform for select dense cities using the Citroen Ami EV. This was unveiled in 2020 to celebrate the 60th year of this name plate. This auto is being used in Europe and select Asian cities and will start in DC and San Francisco as they ramp up production and expand into cities across North America. Cute Citroën Ami EV coming to US, as part of Free2Move car-sharing (greencarreports.com) Ya wanna say a face only a mother could love, This is it!!! It is ugly coming and going.

Latest EV info released. Jeep Wrangler will offer a Professional Performance 2 inch lift kit for the Wrangler 4xe. Off-road lift kit for Jeep Wrangler 4xe is a plug-in hybrid first (greencarreports.com) Car and Driver supposedly got their hands on an Internal Document that shows Ford will offer a new F-150 Lighting performance pickup but on the F-150 EV truck line. Top end will be the Lighting edition which makes total sense here to me. Ford F-150 Lightning Name Will Return for Electric Pickup (caranddriver.com)

Yes, I do not like them over all, but this is the RARE one they actually have that looks decent. Not as decent as GMC, but this one is not bad. Better than I think all the other trims they offer.

G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
Yes GM gave a Look but I would not call them Sporty, just Marketing fluff for added dollars selling to the uninformed who think this is a sports car. Yes these were better than the lower trim levels, but not what any person aware of the auto industry would truly call sporty. Toyota is truly following GM history or tarting up a pig with lipstick. -
I can totally respect that! My mom has fear of High places and Vertigo and she says when she is near places like this bridge, she feels it is sucking her down to the floor far below on top of all the other things she feels. She simply cannot understand my love of high places, edges, etc.

That is a very Sharp looking SUV and way better looking than the Wrangler IMHO. As one who owned a 1994 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition in Green, it was cool at first, then the noise became a pain and eventually the repairs. Traded it in as the only time I did within the same year for my 1994 GMC Suburban. So much better than the wrangler. World longest walking suspension bridge just opened. Very cool!!!

Two sisters from the same mother pretending to be sporty, WOW, Toyota has truly pushed the TRD marketing and I would not waste my hard earned money on either. -
So in other words, not much different than the early decades of ICE before they started to focus on MPG. Some were terrible in comparison to others that did much better for burning fuel based on temperatures. We have to start somewhere and I am sure gm as well as others are looking at the auto's that are out there including Tesla which has been benchmarked by many OEMs in their battery tech. I agree that Zero Degradation is a pipe dream, but I do not seen why with proper engineering of the battery cell, battery packaging and temperature management that you cannot reduce the drop in extreme cold or hot to be a very small thing. Over all, be it BEV or ICE, extreme weather affects all.

I am happy to report that the whole family, Wife, Daughter, Son and Myself are fully vaccinated. My son's girlfriend also got vaccinated. Pfizer is stating a need for booster shots 9 to 12 months after you are fully vaccinated to maintain 100% protection. Seems this will become an annual thing to vaccinate against the virus much like an annual flu shot. Pfizer Covid-19 Vaccine Updates: Booster Shots, E.U.
