Report in from Nikkei Asia that Toyota is going to unveil their first global EV with a Solid State Battery pack and a 10 min recharge to full time for an average 310 miles of range battery pack. Toyota says their superior solid state battery tech allows them to cut off 2/3rds of the normal recharge time. Also Toyota will be backed by a substantial investment by the Japanese government as they convert the country to Supercharged charging stations and be part of a much larger group as Japan looks to jump ahead of China in the battery race by moving directly to Solid State cells. The Japanese government will be investing $19.2 Billion dollars in 2021 to help Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic and Toyota which has over 1,000 world wide patents for solid state batteries production. According to the news story, VW has already started to move away from traditional Lithium Ion cell EVs to have Solid State Rapid Recharge battery packs in their EVs starting in 2025 with a unidentified U.S. startup. Nissan has announced that their EV's will start having Solid State battery packs in 2028. China is only now looking to start R&D on solid State batteries with QingTao energy development spending $153 million over 3 years starting in 2021. Today was cookie making day. Tins to be safely dropped off to relatives/family. We made Mexican Wedding cookies, those snow ball looking ones. Gingerbread everything, Snickerdoodles, Chocolate Chip, Candy Can cookies and the final is a White Chocolate / Craisins butter cookie.

Yes, the house was built in 1952. I bought it in 1999 off the Foreclosed list and gutted it and then updated to modern commercial standards of electrical, Copper water through out and then insulated and sheet rocked it and did a basic tape / mud of the walls and then used Smokers Sealer paint so the whole house was just basic white for about 15 years. Then in 2015 I started to take room by room and do a medium splatter texture. Used my Home Depot gun I bought in 2015 and have textured everywhere in the house and updated with new paints. Starting off 2021 with the house about 95% complete. The wife asked me if I could update the Laundry room, so have started to remove everything so I can update it to be modern. She wants a stand up shower there for coming in from the yard and just have it updated with some additional shelves and new utility sink. If I can get it all done, then 2021 will start with the house 100% done. I am sure she will think of other things.

Forgot to mention, Last Friday I choose to surprise my wife by redoing our bedroom. Happy Wife, Happy Life. So I emptied it out, prepped it, Textured the room and repainted it along with an Accent Wall and then moved everything back in. She was very happy, I got it all done in 6 days and still managed to keep my skiing reservations.

Today was my second time on the Mountain for Ski Season. Awesome, 12 runs made, 21.5 miles skied. Was a Perfect Blue Bird day and more snow comes in tonight! Epic requires total coverage to keep everyone including the employees safe. As such, I am only happy to oblige so that I can enjoy skiing the mountain. Mr. Brooks and Mrs. Daisy Sasquatch are having a good day! Last Saturday was Opening day of Skiing and it was excellent on all the signage and safety they had. Bug Man skiing!

I have found that the 530 is perfect, what I like about it compared to the 580 and newest 650 is that you have a airflow control. Maybe they have them on the higher power ones, but I did not see it as I am used to mine having it in front so I just reach in front and adjust. Allows for full blast to very gentle and I have used it on gentle mode to blow out the garage and go then back to full mode to blow off the grass and drive way. No complaints as it does the job especially in the much larger back yard where I have plenty of neighbor trees that have a ton of leaves that drop into my yard. EDIT: I forgot, you do have a turbo button that goes from the 530 to 600 CFM that you can use, it does use up the battery faster. I tend to use my lawnmower battery in turbo mode for the back yard to blow the leaves faster. So in this regards the higher power unit if you have a large yard which it looks like you do might help get the job done faster or get their commercial backpack blower to really give you battery life and yet light to use since the bulk of the weight is on your back. Except for the 480 that has 3 power settings, all of the blowers I just checked has variable power from a low 200 to their max rating. The models being 530, 575, 580 and 650 before you go to the backpack unit I posted below that has a 3hr run time if you use the 7.5 Ah battery. In regards to a Stripe kit, I have never used one and I know that EGO does not have one. The rubber edge at the back of the lawn does a pretty nice job. I always cut my grass in two directions with the second cut at a 45 degree angle and my wife always says it looks like a baseball field. Seems to come across clean and nice. I looked and did not find anything other than 3rd party stripe kits that you would have to make your own attachment point on the mower.

I have FIOS Gigabit service here, $79.99 a month unlimited data. Was another $15 a month for their out of date Modem, so bought the Arris above and love it. WIFI anywhere in my house and yard. I find it weird that they do not offer a choice of modem or not. I find it strange that your house is so blocking of the WIFI signal. How hard would it be to run hard wire and have a solid connection? Best of luck with your Mesh system. Let us know how it works out.

You are correct, talk about terrible verbiage. I found in the comments section below that EGO even says that the MEO800 is the head unit with edger but no battery and charger and that the EAO800 is the edger attachment only. That would still leave one to have to buy the charger and battery. Expensive options, better to buy one of the units with the charger and battery. I see they do sell my original purchase package of string trimmer with the 530 blower. I personally like Home Depot better as the Lowes here have terrible help, but guess we will see what Lowes does for price and selling of the EGO line.
